$175 for 3 day racing pass to the Gold Cup event???  or $60 for each prelim night and $75 for the finale if you don't buy a 3 day pass?

Maybe he can get locals in Sioux Falls to pay these prices, the economy must be booming up there!

Looks like he is taking the purse into the 21st century, along with the ticket prices.

Been to a concert lately?

I think I seen 7 as the breakoff for child seating.

He is not going to charge to park for racing events, only concert events to promote car pooling. He indicated he did not care how many were in the car, or the trunk, or the back of a pickup when you parked, it was going to be $10 per vehicle for concert events.

The $600 season pass is equivalent to $15 per event, (if you factor in all events)  and includes the Silver, Gold and WoO events.  Its a great deal, IF you want to attend racing both nights, all of the concerts, tractor pull and monster truck shows.

I dont, but I know of someone in my immediate family that would love to utilize anything that I dont.  It sounded like the tickets were going to come in a tear off booklet, instead of a punch  or electric scan card, which makes it much easier to sell in the aftermarket. In fact, It wouldnt surprise me if ticket broker (scalpers) wont snatch all 600 of these up and market them individually.

It is booming here in SF. Have you ever been to a sporting event or concert lately? It costs money to do those things.

The reason Sioux Falls is booming is that we have excellent leadership with vision. Say what you want about Denny Sanford but he has given away 100s of millions of dollars to Sioux Falls. The mayor is actually one of Denny's guys and I can't say I like him but he gets stuff done. There's a brand new arena, we led the USHL in hockey attendance. Downtown is booming and there's a new river greenway with plazas, amphitheaters, etc. None of it happens by accident it takes vision. I think that Sioux Falls will absolutely support this and it will work. They've already got some improvements done, it's not bs, this dude is going to spend money and make it work.

The economy is booming up here is Sioux Falls.

The only thing is a lot of the new jobs here don't pay worth a squat. (Minumum wage or a little above).

Let's see what happens to him in 2017 if the voters of South Dakota in November 2016 approve a payday loan cap rate down to 36% from over 500% on loans.

Im not saying you personally, but if you can't get more than a minimum wage job you need to take a look in the mirror. Unskilled labor will get low wages. Learn some skills and you will make money.

The NSL must be on board with the Saturday shows as Badlands has already released its schedule.

The May NSL race pays the equivelent of $25,000 in silver bars and if the price of silver goes up or down will be what that race pays.

Knoxville pays $3,000 to win I'm told.

just because badlands has it on there doesn't mean the NSL is on board. Tracks/series do that all the time... As in, put stuff on their schedule as either filler or in hopes it sticks. Have we forgotten the oft scheduled Ascs races at elvis presley raceway and Sedalia that never took place?  I'll believe it when I see it.

As a longtime Huset's bleacher creature, I've tried really hard to come up with a reason to hate this change and I just can't. I dont know any of the people involved but if everything is as advertised, I think they'll do just fine. If I had any complaints it would be the name change and day change. That said, it's not my money. They are putting in a substantial investment into the facility and savy business man would not recklessly throw money at nothing. They seem to have a plan and are detirmined to do this. If the racing (facilities, car count, quality of racing) improves even slightly, I'd count that as a win.

As far as ticket prices go, $20 isnt going to break me or any of the people I go to the races with. Have any of you priced out taking a family to other entertainment venues? It is not out of line in my opinion.

I also see people complaining about how Chuck earned his money (and threaten to boycott because of it). Really? Like he forced people into Dollar Loan Center and MADE them take that loan out? Please. It's called personsal responsibility folks, a concept apparently new to many people. Learn it and prosper.

If there was one beef I found with any of this, it's Tom Savage Jr. As a hunter/outdoorsman, some of the things I've read posted by him on facebook about hunters made me sick to my stomach. As the manager of a venue that relies on car owners (some directly tied to the hunting industry) to provide the entertainment (race cars), I'm shocked that he would be so careless with his opinions of hunters/hunting, especially in a state where the economy relies on it.

Bring on 2016 and I guess we'll see if I'm totally wrong. I'm hoping for the best.

IMO the best show and deal is going to be the 360's, Micro's and hobbys on Sunday. 360's racing for $2500.00 to win should draw a good field of sprints and $10.00 admission should draw a good crowd as well.

No way am I paying $60-$75 for a race at a dirt track facility, especially an unsanctioned one. In fact, anything short of Bristol being covered back up in dirt is a no go.

as far as the NSL Saturday night races go, have we considered those may not be active 410 nights at Knoxville?  I haven't seen a 2016 Knoxville schedule to be able to jump to any conclusion. In fact, we all know tracks put stuff on their schedules early to make a splash and then it mysteriously gets removed.

I think the car counts will be fine at both places. Maybe Knoxville loses a couple but quality vs quantity.

Hearing through the grapevine the NSL will most likely cut back their schedule and stay closer to home.     Tod did say he was deeply disappointed on how few Knoxville cars followed his series during an interview at the Nationals.   In regards to the Husets/Badlands deal, the only way is up since the McSxewbins ran that track into the ground the 10 years,   nothing else it will make a nice concert venue in a couple of years..................

Totally agree with you.  Should be a minumum of 25-30 360's racing each week

There was roughly 25 cars @ the 3 MSTS races Huset's had in which 2 of the shows paid $1000 to win & I believe $125 to start.

Where are you guys getting the $60 to $75 figure from?

Frickin relax people. $20 for a 410 race, I pay $17 every week for 360's and $25 for King of the West 410's. I have no problem doing so because I frickin love sprint car racing and I want to support it. Not sure what you guys expect. Look at the purses he's paying. I just payed $45 for an outlaw race last night that paid $10,000. Hopefully some of you will own up next year at this time, come on this forum and say, wow I saw some good f$%kin racing this summer! Or say, I don't really know how it was, I didn't go because it was different from what I've done my whole life. Geez, you guys are killing me.

It's in the price points for the events. The 3 day event in August is $60 on Thursday, $60 on Friday, and $75 on Saturday. So try getting all the information before you start telling people to relax.

He says pay off is based on 22 cars per class.  I looked at sundays results, not a single class had 22 car and some were way short of 22 cars.  He then said if say only 15 cars showed up in a class he would take pay off for cars 16-22 and give it tO feature winner.  Would it not be better to give it evenly to 2nd to 15 th.  IF IT SOUNDS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE( i WILL LET YOU FINISH IT)

Fair enough, but now you all know about it a year in advance. If a good sprint car race is important to the fans in the area, you'll all get it together in time. I Guess what my biggest issue with all of this is why the majority of you aren't embracing and welcoming this change. I grew up in Sioux Falls, Huset's is where I discovered sprint car racing, I love the place. But are any of you going to tell me that you had a great season at Huset's this year, and that you loved what the Rubin's have been doing for years? I doubt it. This is going to be what you guys make it. If it fails it won't be because of the guy dumping all the money into the place. It will be because of you fans, or lack of. My prediction, not that anyone cares, you'll all have the best season you've had in 20 years.
