And Smoke

Some are already calling it he World of Inlaws,  SInce Kyles wife is Brad's sister.

Thought Smoke might be involved - I just don't think this is a battle WRG wants to take on. Let your guys run the HLS, keep a pulse on the situation and go from there. WRG might be able to withstand a head-on battle, but I get the feeling it would be a Pyrrhic victory of sorts.

At the end of the year when the finances are settled would it be much different for TSR or KKR to, instead of travel the entire country and race 90 times, bigger purses and tow money, larger expenses but rather join the All Stars, race the shorter travel schedule smaller purses and chase the big the money at will.

Especially with 12 new big money races to attend. If 2 people see that attractive the WoO could lose 4 cars and the All Stars gain them. With Tony benefitting on multiple levels maybe that idea isnt ehat far out there?

Larger purses are great, but they need to pay more on down program also in B main

i read that the woo official who caused issues at cedar lake is family with the woo higher ups.  have they taken action at all for jumping the crew member?

i ask because that can't sit well with the teams.  if this kid is family...you wonder if he's in line to move up when he probably should be fired for what he did.  add that incident to larson being upset with the woo late models at bristol and it makes sense that competition is starting to mount.  i'm sure tony wouldn't mind adding some big names to his all star series too.

if ucla and usc can leave the pac 12...no league or series is safe.

It's really none of your business what happened between the employee and the employer.

it's always funny how somebody tries to keep things quiet when something happens.  just makes it more obvious somebody made a big mistake.

sprint car racing is still lucky enough to live a bit below the radar of the mainstream sports media.  if an umpire had jumped a player or manager in an mlb game...it would be front page news...not just sports news.  there would be accountability and follow up about what happened.  legitimate organizations should be held accountable to act in professional ways.

if they don't...fans should know so they can decide what they want to support.  i was on the fence about buying dirtvision for this week and going to the super dirt series race at big diamond.  i sat both out partially because i haven't heard about a suspension or firing of this official.

competitors should know too.  otherwise they have every right to think it's a free for all.  guys like sweet and larson have character and may not want to be associated with that.  if their series takes off...and woo doesn't handle things appropriately...i think they should leave the woo in the dust.

This really dicked the Jackson Nationals. To bad they did not work out a deal to race in Spencer, Ia for the 1st race, that could have really made Jackson into something by keeping the teams close. But nope

Better yet why not see just how willing the Woo were to cooperate with High Limit . If they would have been smart they would offered the show to Jackson Motor Plex . It would have been very interesting to see what everyboby would have done. It would benefited everyone by having more cars more people less travel. But I bet they didn't even think about it just think how good it could have been for everyone      Glen Murra

If Larson can be taken to task for a single word comment while playing a video game an employee should, not could, but should be taken to task for a physical action.

I am curious what the ticket price will be for the High Limit races?

Stewart is also one of the owners of the SRX series.  They will be racing at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 this Saturday. People are paying $40 to watch about a dozen or so Big Name drivers race with purpose-built fender cars.  I watched a replay of part of the race in Nashville on blacktop and it was mostly follow the leader with a lot of rubbing. I would not watch that if it was free.

Pretty sure the NSL was not competing against the WOO, but was more of a local series for the upper Midwest.

Remembering acronyms for longer than 30 seconds is not one of my strong points.  I can barely remember why I'm standing in the garage staring at the work bench.

I see Tony Stewart's name keeps popping up. WTF, you do realize he owns that other series that competes directly with the outlaws and a bunch of there shows are mid week I do believe. It's called the all stars,  and even there scheduling is based in areas where they need a lot of local support to put on a show.

WRG is never going to raise purses. The platinum drivers are well taken care of. They come in, run there 1 night shows and move on. They charge track promotors large fee's and most on that list don't seem to be complaining.

They need more dates at places in Pa. Indiana, Ohio and the Mid and West coast where they can have multiple day shows and have payouts like the national open and knoxville.

Did you watch any of the IMCA races from Jackson on Tuesday?  From what I could see of the stands it looked like they got a bigger crowd than some of their Sprint specials.  Stock Cars and Modifieds appear to have gained in popularity after all the chaos of the past few years.  They should add more of those shows during the week if it turned a profit.  It's hard to come to any conclusions based on the crowd looking good but the crowd was seated all the way to the first few rows.

Purses increase.....you pay five more bucks for a ticket because the track has to pay a bigger purse and sanctioning fee. The same drivers show up, put on the same show, good or bad and you walk away satisfied or dissatisfied. What has changed for you and me, the ticket buyers? It wasn't better or worse but other people got more of your money. Paying the same guys more to win won't change a damn thing and won't do anything to build up our sport.

It was $1 to get in on Fan Appreciation Night.

I'd say that's a fair price for stock cars and modifieds

(Sorry man, the devil made me do it.)

No Stan I didn't see that but I'm like you I think the weekly show needs 3 IMCA classes & the 360 & 305 . IMCA would be the Hobbies, Street Stocks & Sportmods maybe Hornets . But with Slayton Mn running I don't know if they can get IMCA sanctioning . This would be the best way to get more people back to the races . And one more thing they need to run every week during the summer         Glen Murra

Hayden, I am in agreement with what Sweet and Larson are attempting to do. The term outlaw doesn't really exist anymore because of the penalties written into the woo rules.  All these teams are independent contractors that have basically signed a contract that is so one sided it's ridiculous.  I don't believe the woo is going to allow there teams that freedom, and I hope I'm wrong.  Lernerville decided they where not going to pay the high sanctioning fee's and they had the all stars come in for the Don Martin classic. The fans did not support that move whatsoever.  So who won that pissing match ?  WoO did that's who.  A track can't put on a high paying multiple day show with out WoO support.  Races like the national open or the weikert memorial  need support because if they didn't get it the place would not be busting at the seams with fan support.

Wow, you must have really lost respect for Kyle, you won't even spell his last name correctly.lol. You used to bust on ole 427 for that kind of stuff. Must be getting soft in your old age, or maybe got some meds that work.

That's funny stuff - and you got me beat by 25-28 seconds.
