I once stopped by his shop and walked in the front office, couldn't find him and went to the back shop area (very large) and found him on a ladder shining a tail light on his motorhome. We could have ate lunch on any floor in the building, it was likely cleaner than the day it was built, remarkable and a great reflection on the man himself! There will only ever be one Sammy and we had all better enjoy him while we can. For all the haters, if you had ever spent any time (90% haven't) with him you would not be a hater, great sense of dry humor and can tell you more about the sport in five minutes than most in a half hour, a special man.....

Assuming your are refering to how much of a mess it is getting out of 34 Raceway?
|
Yes I was. There was a wreck and then a train when there is pretty well just one way out of there. No fault of 34. Nature of the beast of where they are located but it was extremely slow compared to normal. Also, the 34 raceway sign of where to turn was no longer there. I hope a new one is to come. It made it a little difficult for me to know where to turn and I have been there dozens of times. Other than those very minor issues this new management has really done well with the place. I am noticing small improvements everywhere.

Sammy confirmed to run Cappy and FRC per Thone twitter account. This is good news.

If he does a throwback scheme, it has to be the TMC car. To this day, that is still the most beautiful sprint car to ever hit the track. Simple, sleek, clean and it looked like it was going 150 mph sitting still.

Don't want to rain on anyone's parade, but whats so special about that car? Looks like a black car with a bunch of ads.... "most beautiful sprint car to ever hit the track"?????
whatever floats your boat....

No doubt my Aussie Mate. Once he feels comfortable around you he is a lot of fun, this is no doubt unknown to the majority of the 'haters'. His aggressive driving style is a positive not a negative in this old hockey players mind.....lol

He is flat drivin the wheels off! His reflexes are still mighty damn good for sure. Kennedy did what he had to to close the door in turn four and Sammy sure as hell had the momentum to go by if he hadn't. Kudos to Sammy for being able to avoid what could have been heavy contact racing for the win. I hope the momentun continues for him!
