From Nickules:

"""Could be that Ford isn't actually paying out sponsorship $ to be featured on the 15 car and its just part of their deal with TSR and their interest with Stewart-Haas. Or that they car more about reaching the average dirt track/racing fans who see the sponsorship as a means to push the brand (i.e. consumer cars/trucks) vs us hardcore fans who immediately think 410 engine."""""

What the F--K are you talking about nickules??  I showed the above post to 4 adult men and emailed it to 3 others and not a one could figure ourt what the hell you were trying to say.  What f--king mismash writing!!!   Think before you write and after you write read it twice before posting--ya know, measure twice, cut once, or is that over your head too!!

Of course Ford is paying $ to be featured on the 15 car you nitwit, and fans will obviously believe it to be a Ford powerplant, I mean Johnny Gibson must smile when saying "and the Ford Performance # 15 of Donny Schatz".  What bullshsiite. That is one car manufacturer who will go to any length to get their name out there on the sly.  Its like the Iowa Ford dealers sponsoring the Nationals one year and requiring all sprint cars to have a Ford blue oval decal on it.  Uninformed people walking the pits and there are a lot of them (see top paragraph), see that as the car having a Ford based powerplant.  Good Gawd man, 98% of all powerplants at any dirt track in America are the Chevy-based small block.  Google what makes up a sprint car engine, the word Chevy will be thru out the explanation.

Lawlessness and liberalism equals Hell. NY City,
Detroit, Seattle, Chicago, Minnepolis, etc. We saw it.
Burning hundreds of buildings, a thousand assaults and
dozens of murders. Getting worser and worser.

Ouch...sorry about that.  Must've blown through writing that, my apologies. Nah, not apologies, I think getting flamed means "I've made it" on here.  Yes !  HaHa...and I'm not trying to be an a-hole, seriously I didn't explain myself enough and you called me on it.

What I mean is sometimes in these HUGE sponsorship type deals Ford has a full blown "partnership" with TSR / Stewart Haas and the specific line demarcating funds doesn't necessarily state "Donny Schatz #15 car..."  It's possible that the powers to be at Stewart Haas say, "hey as an add-on or adjacency we'll throw in TSR Schatz car branding for you."  Meaning Ford didn't approach them specifically to show up on Schatz's car, but that they like it as a component of a larger partnership/branding effort.  Here's a not so similar example.  When doing a Radio Ad campaign if you hit a certain dollar amount your rep will "sweeten the pot" and say "hey I added some 5 second adlets for you" even thought you didn't specifically have them listed on your campaigns wants.  Could be (note COULD BE) this was something similar as being part of a much larger deal.  My guess is it went both ways - Ford saying hey partner with us and we'll work to develop sprint car engine and here's a 6 figure deal (that maybe Chevy balked at).

All that said, yeah they're paying to be on the car, but my suggestion was that it wasn't a direct and/or specifically sought out venture but rather part of a much larger effort.

No explanation necessary. I got what you were saying in your first post. For some people, brevity is tough.
