even if chuck had a big money race the same time the Kville nationals you would think he could pull in most of the drivers who would not even make the A main at the nationals.just a observation.

I think you should look at the Nationals payout and do some math. The 5th place driver in the "E" Feature on Saturday night is paid $800.00. It would take more than DEEP pockets to go up against the Nationals. Would actually take a case of having no brains!

So running NSL shows on Sunday or any other day of the week other than Fri and Sat a bad idea,  heck it wouldn't be competing against any one's weekly 410 show, so my question is what other series only runs 90 percent of their races at two track's.

Ive been coming to this forum for years just to catch race results and the latest news in sprint car racing now when i come here its just another thread on how awesome Knoxville is and how terrible the track 332 miles away that dares to run on the same night is nothing but a rip off and has a piss poor quality of cars.  Total bullshit.  Ive been to Knoxville love the place usually see good races there but its 5 hours away from me I cant make it there every Saturday hell I barely make it once a year.  I have a job that I need to support my young growing family and that job requires me to be there by 6 on Monday mornings for that reason I didnt make it very often on Sundays to Husets.  I havent missed a Saturday night show at Badlands and I have not been disappointed.  The quality of the field is good the racing has been excellent the car counts high I dont go to get hammered drunk so I have no problem spending 10 to 20 bucks for some beer anyone been to a concert or a sporting event lately.  The whole if I hear Knoxville again ill puke comment yea not a good way to start, not very professional ill give ya that, but im human if I was in his shoes getting asked that question over and over again when I was trying to get people excited about my buisness would have pissed me off too.  Im a sprint car fan as most of you and Im thrilled as shit I have such a high quality show less than 20 min from my front door and I will still make a yearly treck to Knoxville to see another high quality show. If any of you Knoxville guys enjoy going to different tracks in your area I would highly recommend Badlands I have yet to be disappointed.

Spot on , the fact is that there is less than a percent of Knoxville faithful on here continually trying everything they can come with to hate on BMS, for me its become kind of entertaining,  however probably embarrassing for most Knoxville fans.

A nice refreshing post and thank you IowaPlowBoy and I couldn't agree more. Time for KNoxville to quit worrying about a track over 300 miles away and take care of the track that is the 'capital of sprint car racing'. Knoxville, fair board?,   needs to take a long look at their purse structure, their declining crowds at both weekly and nationals shows and their promotional skills. Mr. Brennan, love him or hate him, has thrown down the gauntlet and challenged other facilities to pay a competitive purse and promote the program.

Is your memory that damn short? Badlands runs the 410 show on Sunday night if it rains out on Saturday. Brennan already fucked up one scheduled NSL Sunday night show. So scheduling a Sunday night show from here on out runs a secondary risk wouldn't you say?!

Can you show me your proof of the declining weekly crowds? The car counts and crowds were at its high in the 90s, but if it's not a sold out show anymore so they're declining?

Are you referring to KNoxville worrying as in the racetrack itself, promotor, or just some comments on here by some fans, and then assume its the fairboard?

With out looking up, what is Knoxville's purse structure and how would you change it? I'm okay with change but I'm curious what needs changed and how you would change it for the better.

I agree there are other great tracks across the US and upper midwest. It's great for the MN, Dakota fans that CB and TQ has invested millions into outdated facilities. Ultimately, hopefully it helps lures some drivers to race around here more often.

I'm disappointed that a few talented drivers decided to race at Husets weekly but I believe that Knoxville's future and weekly racing program is in good hands. They continually invest into the track, now has Kendra Jacobs at the helm and really getting the fans involved....

Not trying to be a smartass....

Great post I i am in the same boat you are. 1 hr to badlands 5hrs to Knoxville. Husets was the first track i ever went to see a race. Its great to see the improvements and the car counts up along with excellent racing! Can't wait for August and the Nationals either!!

I'm still confused, why would Jackson need to switch from Friday to Sunday nights?  Are you asking for Knoxville to change to Sunday nights?

Not really sure why there is any bitching about Badlands. The track it self has put on some of the best races I have ever seen. The race last Sunday was amazing.

The faster people realize that it is Todd's and Chuck's money the better off it will be.

Thanks, Todd and Chuck for supporting racing and making it better for all involved.
