You and frenchy are pretty fucking stupid also! The primary message of my post was about the NSL show being affected by Brennan's asshole position of tying up two nights to get one weekly show in! He shits on the lower class guys that have supported that facility for years by cancelling their show because his top show got rained out the night before. If he had balls, the Saturday night show would be a rainout and that's that. Run his regular Sunday schedule that he has in place, keeping Sunday open so other races could be run with decent fields. If you think his way of doing business is good for the sport you are fickle in the head!

Haha ok. I posted this same point in some other thread, I'm glad they ran their Saturday show on Sunday night, it was great for the fans in the Sioux Falls area. There were more cars that went to badlands than the NSL show in Des Moines, so who's fault is that? Must be the team owners and drivers that chose to be there. Badlands just ran a $10k to win race with tow money the week after the silver shootout, yes I'm pretty sure that is good for the sport.

Also, I really don't give a shit how he made his money, it's really no different than credit cards or the banking industry as a whole. Nobody seems to give a shit that Copenhagen/Skoal was a major sponsor for years and people literally die because they use that product. Yet we should be mad at a guy that is literally pumping millions into the sport because some dipshits don't know how to manage their personal finances.

Agree..he's not doing this for the betterment of the sport, he's doing it for his ego. In the end, they didn't share that many cars anyway. Makes sense for TK, Dobmeier, and Zomer to go there. Less competiton up there, more money, and don't miss em' anyway. Listening to Lasoski on Pennlive podcast the other day, sounds like he, and a few other drivers would have preferred they stay on Sundays as well, so they could have three nights of racing in a row in the upper midwest. Instead, this guy had to be a prick. Oh well, to each his own.

Just baffling that so many think he's doing this for the right reasons. Why would you not want Lasoski, Brown, T-Mac, Zomer, TK, Henderson, Dollansky, Madsen's (sometimes Kerry), Dobmeier, Heskin, etc. to be able to race three nights in a row? Better quality and depth throughout the field would mean more people may come and watch, even on a Sunday. Instead he split it in half on Saturday nights and took away a race in  close proximity for many drivers.

I understand he thinks he'll make more $$$ on Saturday's, but if his pockets are as deep as everyone says, why does it matter? He's going to make money back on concerts and other events he has. And also, he's paying employees to work two nights a week, lights to run two nights a week, doubling up on all sorts of stuff.

In the end, even racing on Saturday's wasn't probably the biggest issue, but it's the way he went about it, and burnt a lot of bridges in doing so I would guess.

Don't miss Dob, TK and Zomer....really??

I do not remember the Dude going to much Husets before.  Guess it was not enough money to entice him to come north in years past.

One good thing is this maybe this is a wakeup call for Knoxville to reach out a bit more to the Wisconsin, Illinois and Missouri 410s that have not raced much.   More room for other guys to make some money with 4-5 of the top 10 cars racing elsewhere.

Although the guy seems pretty sleezy, at least the Sioux Falls fans are finally getting what they have always deserved, good racing with better car counts.  They have been open wheel racing every bit as long as Knoxville.

Anyway... we are barely a month into the season, lots more drama to come.

Dobmeier & Zomer were only @ Knoxville a handful of times last year, especially at the end. TK wasn't phenomenal last year here, and he skipped a few nights banking on it raining at Knoxville and they raced, which took him out of points contention. Badlands is more his type of track anyway. His car is based out of there, makes sense to stay up there, etc..

No, maybe he didn't. I'm not old enough to remember all of his early career, but he makes a valid point. I do wish they'd do a MOWA or IRA co-sanctioned show..All-Stars would be good as well, but give Kendra some time.

Yeah I agree, the purse needed to be increased and they were a bit complacent. What's this dude's backup plan when Knoxville matches everything he does and he can't just buy cars? I do agree, the Sioux Falls/Husets faitful deserve it. I understand they've been racing as long, which is another reason why I'd love to see them get along and all the other drivers that aren't attending Husets could do so, and everyone would be happy.

I would take the quality of cars at Des Moines over 15 or so backmarkers.. and how much did Dob's really get  from his win??

Stuff like this makes me wonder if tracks all along were making good money paying lower purses and Brennan is willing to take less, or if he is spending more than he is bringing in and isn't feasible doing this long-term.

Not just the racers walked out of there with $ . Last night he gave away 50 $100 bills thru a lucky number program drawing.  ($5) program ). They announced it's the same thing next week. Didn't hear much about the 50/50, or even if there is a 50/50 .  Lots of last weeks problems were worked out. Not all.

I don't know about that, probably pretty equal. The 410 feature was McCarl, Tk, McCarl, dobmier Henderson, Jeffery, Zoned, etc. These are the kind of guys that can compete with anyone in the country.

Wait, Did you just compare Badlands, Jackson and Knoxville to Central PA? The simple fact is the upper midwest doesnt have the cars to support multiple tracks each Saturday night like Central PA DOES. Thats the difference....

When a new promoter switches nights and effects other tracks in said area, they will get both positive and negative feedback all around, thats what happens all across America.

I didnt read in this thread why they were running Sunday night this week. Did they rain out early Saturday (Saw McCarl and Zomer where at Knoxville), or was it scheduled that way all along for the holiday weekend?

Too bad all of the money he has spent on his facility does not include plumbing to prevent sewage/wet slippery floors in the topside restrooms.  Nor is there any soap or dispensers of any type there.  Another thing missing is recepticles for feminine hygiene products.  Dumped on the floors or flushed.  YUCK!  In the vast majority of grandstand seating your line of sight is blocked by handrails so you can't see the front stretch.  His flip up chairs in the reserved section give you no room, if you are over 150 lb forget it. Long legs, forget it.  Chuck should have "test driven" these and sat there for a few/or more hours". And where do you put your $5 beers and $9 nachos and no sunflower seeds at a racetrack?  And don't forget where do you put your sweatshirts etc. that you are not allowed to leave the track to get from your car.  Getting out of the maze that is their grandstand is a nightmare like being in a traffic jam only worse.  The scoreboard has improved from the first week, but who cares about watching the flagman except the people who can't see the front stretch.  Still has rock/gravel when you enter making it hard for those in wheelchairs or walkers to enter.  And how does there line-up scoring system work?  Lots of people all around were scratching there heads on how the 47 started where he did in the 410 class.  Some cars on the lead lap were scored as a lap down.

HA HA HA......you still don't get it.....I know there was nothing in the way of "pattons" to prevent Badlands from scheduling  their 410 shows on Saturday nights. That's a done deal!  But keep it to Saturday night! If Badlands suffers a rain out on Satuday, too bad. All tracks deal with rain.

The Saturday rainout move to Sunday rain date was one of the original things Brennan announced. The idea being out of town racers ( and I assume fans) can spend the night and still have a show on Sunday reducing the amount of trips for no racing. Not saying I agree or disagree with it but it might prove to be a good idea.

It's simple really, Knoxville weekly moves to Sunday. Traditions end. Things change. Jackson Friday, hour west to Badlands Saturday, and Knoxville Sunday. If Knoxville doesn't....then I guess their counts will go down.

Also, as far as Lasoski not coming up....well frigging DUH! Look at the paint on his car and it's simple to see why he...and Sammy for that matter, don't break off the NSL tour.

Say what you want, but this guy wants Saturday night and he is willing to pay for it. There is nothing wrong with having Sunday nights and the Super Bowl of sprint car racing

Rain was the big factor in the short car count at D.M. Knoxville almost always has a good track.DesMoines for some reason didnt. The quality of racers were there the quanity wasnt. As far as how promoters made their money we are quick to forget some of the top teams in WOO and Nascar have some baggage that has showed up.Larger purses were due for years in sprint car racing as costs have increased much faster than purses.

The NSL has 4/5 followers. EVERY car from the Knoxville area will get $1100 every night as long as they make the 24 car field. Let's see how many times they come up this year.

The Knoxville regulars are going to Knoxville on Saturday night.    Whether they ever show up to Badlands any other night is to be seen.     The guys that run with the NSL do travel.   The guys that go up to Huset's from the Knoxville area travel.   The rest don't travel, ever.

This is the list of cars that were in DSM Sunday night.

 "A Feature (20 Laps): 1. 2ks-Craig Dollansky (1); 2. 2-Danny Lasoski (2); 3. 1-Sammy Swindell (4); 4. 29-Kerry Madsen (3); 5. 18-Ian Madsen (5); 6. 55-Brooke Tatnell (6); 7. 7w-Tasker Phillips (8); 8. 21-Brian Brown (9); 9. 56n-Davey Heskin (7); 10. 71a-R.J. Johnson (10); 11. 96-Bronson Maeschen (12); 12. 10-Dakota Hendrickson (11); 13. 75-Glen Saville (14); 14. 19-Bob Weuve (13)."

Please point out the 10 cars that you don't think would have come to Huset's on Sunday night if it had been scheduled as a NSL points race.

I think its pretty safe to say 8 of those cars would have towed up to Huset's maybe up to 10.

I am starting to wonder if BMS is building up expecations that they cannot live up to?   $5,000 in lucky program drawings?  I know that they want to make a big splash, but at some point you have to go into normal operations.

Dollanksy, Lasoski, Swindell, Tatnell, Brown, Heskin, Johnson, Maeschen, Hendrickson, Saville, and Weuve!

That is 11 Cars that would of not showed up to Badland. Ian and Kerry and possbily Tasker are the only ones that may have came up.

As you will see ALL summer those teams I menitioned will not come up to Badlands other then the possiblitiy of the Gold Cup.

You have this bass-akwards I believe. He asked who would Not have shown up if the Badlands race had been a NSL event. I would think that 8 or more of the drivers you mentioned would have made the trip to Badlands had it been a NSL show. And add Ian and Kerry to that list that would have shown up, also. Bringing an additional 10 or so cars to the Badlands event.

Pull your head out of Chucks butt so you can see better, read the question again and then give a thought out answer.

If it had been an NSL show Dollansky, Lasoski, Swindell, Tatnell, Brown, Heskin, Ian and Kerry would have all been there.

Possibly Maecshen and Tasker.
