Sorry to hear of this news. He was always good to us whenever we met them at the Chili Bowl. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his entire family.

So sorry to hear of Palmer's untimely passing. He was always a great race fan and as a photographer, he was a part of the sport contributing to make the sport better. JoAnne was his best side kick, as we never saw one without the other. He always portrayed that personal touch as he had drivers in front of their car, wanting to capture that side of sprint car racing. I do hope the good Lord understands he will be building and maintaining a dirt track up there if he hasn't already started. Do take care, Palmer you will always be in the winners circle.............

Sorry to hear the news, Palmer was a great guy that always had time to visit with a good story from the "old days" or a joke to bring a laugh.
He will be missed not seeing him walking through the pits with his camera before the show where ever it was that our paths would cross. Rest in peace buddy!

This is truly so sad, my thought and prayers go out to Joanne and the family… Knowing Palmer was an honor , anybody that has shot trophies at a race with Palmer will never forget his booming voice as the yells OUT FRONT….I"m guessing that those words will be heard at a heavenly track sometime this weekend… RIP big guy we will all miss ya…. Does anyone know of a place that sells Mini sized car seat covers? I am not looking for anything as percise or expensive as the Newton Commercial Interior Kits. I just want something to decently cover old front seats. The seats are getting old and look quite shabby. I already have a set of better seats sitting in a garage, but will only use that when I refurbish the car at a later date. I called around to most places, but they dont stock Mini sized covers. How much do I need to pay for a reasonable set of 2 front seat covers?

Thank you all for your kind words of sympathy and support after Palmer's death. My going to the races wont be the same, but I expect to continue with some of them as I loved racing as much as he did. I hope to see a lot of you in Knoxville for the 2010 Nationals.
