It is great to see the 69K at Knoxville.      They worked hard to get there and they worked hard for the $20,000 Priority Aviation sponsorship.    They helped raised more than 20,000 (in Lance's name) for the Clauson Suites.    They setup donation jars at local races and they auctioned off used parts and suits with proceeds going to the NSCHOF.

They put their car in the big show their qualifying night and got to relax a little last night.      They probably won't win tonight but hopefully they get the car setup right and Lance can move forward throughout the 50 laps.    Either way, it is nice to see that car on that track.

You guys ok with that ?

Yep, I am ok with it. It is obvious Lance is having a good time with the whole leaving the porch and the Posse vs The World thing as well. Hopefully his Mom is selling a lot of his racing shirts. I know they are a big seller in Central Pa. Take me for example, I have followed sprint car racing in Central Pa for almost 35 years. I never disliked Lance, but I wasn't a fan either (more of a Kauffman, Rahmer and Monteith kind of guy).....but you just have to admire what that whole team has accomplished over the last three seasons......and Yes, I now own a Lance Dewease t shirt. Good luck tonight.

I hope the 69k can find a good feature set up for tonight. Lance has gone backwards in both features he's run at Knoxville this year. That's not very LD like, as he and that team usually shine and go forward when the track gets wide and slick. Seems like the middle is no man's land at Knoxville, either need to be way up top or on the bottom berm. LD likes to run when the middle when the car is hooked up and the track is slick but he can be pretty good on the bottom too. He's obviously not gonna win from 16th with the caliber of cars and drivers in front of him but a top 10 would be a nice feather in the cap. DD's not gonna make the A after his crash last night. It seems like a long time ago when central PA would put 3-4 cars in the A every year. Now it's big accomplishment just to get 1 car in. The competition is much tougher with the Knoxville locals, outlaws, all-stars, CA and pretty much everywhere. The times they are a changin'.

Lineups are posted and the Posse is well represented.  I went to Navy fire fighting school in Philly in 1970 so can I be Posse tonight if one of your guys wins?  We drove all night in a motorhome from Minnesota to Eldora for the Million and when we settled in our campsite at 6am there were some guys from PA next to us already drinking beer.  We were wiped out from the drive but we said "what the hell, why not" and joined them.  The rest of my first time drinking beer with Posse members is a three day blurr.  wink

I know I’ll get pushback from the purists and ”Posse haters” but I think central Pa is well represented this year. Marks, Lance, and Schuchart are locked into the A and Zearfoss and Allen each  have a chance (albeit slim) to get in out of the B. Plus if (I know that’s a big if) DD holds that slide job on Scelzi and doesn’t hit the wall, he starts on the poll and has a very good shot at qualifying for the big show tonight. That’s 6 drivers who live within a 50 mile radius of Harrisburg.

Back in the day, drivers from central Pa  stayed on the porch and were true Posse. 4 of the above drivers are officially part of traveling series, but they all still claim central Pa as home.

Agree with the observation on Lance’s performance in the 2 features. Very un 69k ish. Hope they get it figured out for tonight.

Marks and Schuchart aren't Posse... They're "Outlaw Travelers" Bobby Allen didn't raise "porchsitters"... Logan would of never made a run from 22nd to 2nd sleeping in his own bed, running the same tracks all year...

Let's see, there are five Pa Posse drivers officially entered and three of the five have never even seen the joint untill this week ((Rahmer, Macri, and Stutts) so that leaves Dewease and Dietrich, both who have made the A main before, Can either win, probably not, can they both make the A, absoulutely.......

TJ Stutts has run the Nationals before.  He was there in 2007 driving the Trone Outdoor #39.  He was also there prior to 2007, but I cannot remember the car or year.

Who tied the piano to the back of the 69k on Saturday Night?  Should keep the cheerleaders quiet until the Outlaws show up for the National Open where Lance should be the favorite and a few other one track wonders (not Lance)....

The 69k had an interesting Nationals to say the least. On qualifying night they had a solid time trial. In the heat on the initial start Lance had a terrible start and dropped back. Before the completion of that lap, Stewart flipped resulting in a complete restart. The second start was far better and Lance finished second. Had that initial start stood, him qualifying via the heat would have been difficult. This obviously would have affected his heat points and how his qualifying A main results would have been affected if he would have made the A main at all. Getting another restart in that heat was big in the overall outcome of his qualifying night. Speaking of the A main, Zearfoss having trouble while leading gave Lance one better finishing position than had Zearfoss stayed in and finished assuming Zearfoss would have remained ahead of Lance when Lance finished 14th. That too was important because Lance got the last position to be locked into Sat's A main by 1 point. Had he finished just one spot back in Thurs A main, he is in Sat B main. In the big scheme of things does any of this really matter, no. It is what it is and he made the A. I just find all the little things interesting because it just shows how a little good or bad luck here or there can be game changing. Once in Thurs and Sat nights A mains, he was never a factor, slid back in fact, but I never expected him to be. I had hoped we could put one posse in the A main and we did. As stated in my prior post in this thread I thought it was totally possible we would put no one in the A main. Getting into Sat A main is in itself an accomplishment.  All the talk about the 69k winning the Nationals I felt was ridiculous but give them credit where credit is due. There are 80 other teams who would have traded their results for that of the 69k. As far as the rest of the posse, Dietrich's Nationals started out well with a solid time trial but that was the highlight. I never expected anything much from either Freddie or Marci since it was their first time there. Stutts has limited experience as well. Hopefully this trip brought them experience to build on for the future. I too get frustrated with some of my fellow posse members when they have what I consider to be unrealistic expectations and opinions of our local drivers. There are a few vocal supporters that can bring negativity on the entire group. The vast majority of posse fans will absolutely support our local drivers but also have a deep appreciation and respect for other drivers as well. We love it when we get outside cars to come in for PA Speedweek or PA's month of money or anytime for that matter. When you come to PA we have one requirement - make sure your T-shirt supply is well stocked. Congrats to JJR on an excellent week long run. Kudos to Logan Schuchart for an outstanding run in the feature.

The 69k did better at the T-shirt trailer than they did on track for sure. On Thursday it seemed it seemed like anyone from PA had a 69k shirt on.

I was surprised they didn’t do better. I thought all the talk of them winning was absurd, but thought they’d be a threat for a top 10.

Yeh, that was painful to watch..missed the setup big time. Happy for Davey Sr that they at least made the show. How are things going in the “great white north”?

I had a friend over and told him to watch this 69K car, oops.  I felt bad for Davey Brown, there probably is a good reason they went backwards.  Like I said earlier they still have the National Open where they will be the favorites in my book.  Hot dry summer up here in Canucksville, don't get out much, got some health issues etc....What has saved me this summer is the 3 sprint car PPV's I have watched each month, totally amazing, one night I had the opportunity to watch 8 different sprint car races and I watched a lot of them, have to be by myself to do that, switching constantly, even my wife leaves the room, lol....

All the posse talk gets old quick here. Going down live to Knoxville you seldom hear much of it, which is really refreshing. Down there, you are really just a car, driver, and team. I find it sort of funny that nobody from California comes on here talking about the sucess of the CA drivers, who to me, seem to be the exciting drivers and the ones doing a lot of winning or "making the show".  The Scelzi boys, Rico, Sweet, Larson, Macedo, TK, and Eliason to name a few. (ya, Macedo just missed the show, I know). but.....

Dont get me wrong, there are some solid PA boys etc.  But right now it seems to me that CA > PA.  And the bonus is you dont have to hear them on here trying to market their drivers and some posse deal.

Could very well be wrong but I don’t think this post was started by someone from “ posse land”.

No one from California comes on here patting themelves on the back? Are you kidding? Where was the poster referring to in the "Cali Guns" thread? Connecticut? Alaska?

Exactly, there's more chest thumping from the CA fans than central PA fans in recent years... and for good reason. There's no doubt that CA has produced a lot of successful drivers in recent years. It's even more impressive when you consider there's not a whole lot of 410 racing in CA, compared to PA, OH and the midwest.

BTW I'm always happy to see Schuhart, Marks and Zearfoss doing well but I don't consider them posse anymore.

i as a Lance Dewease fan was very disappionted in the out come of both thursdays main and saturdays Knoxville Natinals, but im a fan from way back and this weekend doesnt mean this team isnt capable of winning the Nationals.  If this team was a regular to run at Knoxville like they are at the grove, they would have won it at least twice. (my opinion) its all about the track time for Knoxville and this team needs it to succeed there.  if this team ran there the whole year and finished where they did with out issues, then id say they cant run off of the porch.  but when the outlaws come to Pa. Lance is the man to beat.  who from Ca. can beat the OutLaws or be the man to beat when the outsiders come into your state?  just a question and that driver cant be running with the Outlaws.
