I heard you used to race Strawser ,I havent been to the slip and slide lately but have seen hundreds of races over the tears that were better than the feature thats why it was just ok.

I guess next time tje best ting to do is only take one lap like Stutts if they use that format again then you wont have eo quick a time.

I am not bashing Selinsgrove its one of my favorite tracks just hope they get better .

...or Zemco. I wish they would have put someone in the car that likes to race at different tracks, instead of a 1 track homer.

One track homer? Logan won a race at Susky last year and beat the All Stars at Lernerville. You probably should comment on things you don't have all the information about, but go ask John and PeeWee why the car is at Port every Saturday this year. Did you ever think that as owners they want to run for points at Port Royal? The 7W will be at Lernerville this Friday and as many other races as Logan can fit into his schedule around the Zemco car and work.

Also don't forget that he has been to Knoxville and run all Bedford races that he can and I am pretty he has been to the Grove.

I BELEIVE ZEMCO WANTED TO SCALE BACK AFTER THE STRUGGELS OF THE LAST FEW YEARS that is probably why they hired a Port mostly driver.

For those that say Logan does not run other tracks much ( Probably never at Selinsgrove in a 410 ,like his dad) he was able to make most shows anywhere in a 305 and alot in a 358.

If you have been to the slow palace you have been to the slip and slide.   Stimely and Swartz better wake up and soon.  The track prep at that place is not good and the racing is a slip and slide.....sorry to disappoint you.   I like Port only when it is fast like it was the night Dave Blaney won.  When you are running 19+ second laps in a 410 feature it doesn't thrill me - it makes me feel like I wasted my money to go to the races. I know sometimes the track prep is missed, but to miss it every week I can't tolerate that type of track prep.

In years past I have heard Swartz say up in the stands in warmups the track is too fast and by the time the heats are halfway over the track is black from bottom to top and very slow.  This is when I made up my mind I wasn't going back until they figure it out and get more water on the track before the racing starts.

I have been to several hundred of races since I started going in the early 80's from here to Knoxville "the best track prep I have ever seen is at Knoxville"  and the track Sunday was perfect.   Sunday was special and great racing in the feature.   Anytime there is more than one groove and cars flying around the track without having to get off the throttle going around the corners with passing.

If Greg would have pulled a better number he would have started closer to the front and he still wouldn't have won.  I have watched and have been around this sport a long time and his car doesn't have much forward bite in order to drive past the car in front of him.  He hasn't had that consistently since triple x went to a different frame at the beginning of last year.

No need to get a better surface on Sunday night - since it was perfect!

Let's go Sprint Car Racing!

Knoxville - Best Track In the USA!
Eldora - 2nd Best Track in the USA!

Strawser I realze now you just hate Port I like all the tracks and want them all to do well,The 360 feature on Sat at Port was decided by inches so close they might have called it wrong .

Hodnett is just like everybody else give them clean air and watch them go.

Example Mcintyer in the 07 Sunday after he got passed he went straight back when he was leading he was a rocket.

My point as always. He just hates Port. Sunday for the Lucas Oil Late Models Port had a great track. And drivers from all over the country, many different series, continue to say how much they think Port is the best all around, facility and surface. Sorry Strawser, you just are a homer for Selinsgrove. And everytime you say anthing on here, you just prove us all to be correct. I have nothing against Selinsgrove, my father raced sprint cars there in the 80's (as well as Port), but I'll take Port every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

I enjoy the racing on both types of tracks. It's impressive to see them run flat out but usually a dry slick track provides better racing on the 1/2 miles. Slick to a curb is what most drivers prefer and I think Port nails that more often than not. I like the action on 1/3-4/10 mile tracks the most but unfortunately I don't live near any. The best track in PA is Lernerville IMO.

And you're a homer for Port. His opinion is no less or more valid than yours. If you've been to more than 1 track, you'd know that professional drivers are generally very complimentive of whatever track they are racing on that night. Port for sure is the nicest facility in PA. I don't think there's any debate about that, but surface/racing wise is a matter of peoples opinions.

Hahahaha, you are a moron. I go to Port, Williams Grove, Baps, Lincy on occassion, Bedord and Eldora. I've been to Fremont, Sharon, Hagerstown, Syracuse, Lernerville, and many others over the years. Hahahaha, boy are you uninformed. Lol, you're an idiot. Well, thankfully, the opinions that matter are the drivers and they keep coming back and the fans pack the house for big events. Enough said. Oh, and clearly you missed the part where I said I spent a lot of time at Selinsgrove because my father used to race there. But you can't argue with stupid.

I'm glad someone else said this. You're exactly right. Drivers usually are very complimentary of whatever track they race at. Not to mention, Port Royal has an announcer that is constantly asking questions in victory lane that are 100% designed to get a complimentary response. Lets face it, very few drivers are gonna stand there and tell them the track is horseshit under most circumstances even if they think it is. Greg Hodnett for instance, will say the track was "tricky" or something to that effect. I've never been to another track where the announcer fishes for compliments the way he does. It's actually quite annoying in my opinion. I want to hear the driver explain the events that took place from his perspective in the cockpit, not some guy trying to get him to say nice things about the lights or the scoreboard.

He's right. Strawser goes a little overboard bashing Port whereas you defend them no matter what they do whether it's good or bad. 2 different sides of the same coin.

I can't stand Brouse. Like you guys said, he's annoying with all the stupid crap he asks and the fact that he can't pronounce names of drivers that come in with touring groups. But there are drivers who will tell it like it is....DD and a few others. I prefer to hear drivers be honest when interviewed. That's why I've always been a Sammy fan. The man never sugar coats anything and if you can't take it, well then, grow a pair. And no,  I don't defend Port all the time. I just don't go on a message board and bash them like others. It servers no purpose and I also can respect the effort the track puts into it's all around racing product. I get annoyed when they miss the track prep or screw around for hours. My friends and I laugh about it there at the track. But public whining and crying like Strawser really serves no purpose other than to show that you are a hater. The guy doesn't even go there, I mean, come on. That's like me knocking track prep at Wayne County (never been there) because I heard it was crap. Stupid, stupid, stupid.

I don't HATE Port.  I hate the way they prepare the track.  I will not go there until they put more water on the track.  I am sorry you can't understand that.  I was very upset the last time I was there at the track conditions and if I don't like it I will not give them my money.   It is actually the closest track to my house and it could be great with more water!......

I actually like Port when it is in the high 15 second low 16 second bracket in warmups.  That means they nailed it any slower than that and you can bet your bottom dollar it will be hard, black, and dry before the heats are over! All I ever hear from the port guys is you can't have a great  race if it is that fast in warm-ups.  Well, I call BS.......Reference the Dave Blaney win earlier this year for one.

I can agree with that. For instance, late model driver Coleby Frye. His nickname is "Superfly" Coleby Frye but Brouse calls him "The Super fly" like it's an insect lol.

My fav is when the All-Stars come to town and he calls Tim Shaffer the Steel City All-Star yet the announce for the series calls him correctly, the Steel City Outlaw.  Or pronouncing Aaron Reutzel, like it's Roytzel. Lol, only Brouse.

Brouse is a little annoying no doubt, but he's also very knowledgable and I respect that. If you think he butchers driver names, maybe you guys don't remember Tommy Little.

I remember Tommy Little quite well. His drunken interview of Bob Bennett on the Port Royal stage is legendary. I actually always liked Craig Rutherford. He was great at post race interviews and like all good announcers, he'd put down the mic once in awhile which allowed for time to converse with your racing friends. Brouse doesn't do that. He's like a pissed off woman on the rag. Never shuts up.
