I'm jacked up for Saturday! My 2 favorite drivers, DD & Mark Smith are attempting the Lincoln/Port double header. Guess that means I'm attending both too!! Where else in the country can a sprint car fan see 2 quality fields of cars at 2 top notch facilities on the same day!

I plan on doing the double as well!   Can't wait honestly.    Lincoln should be over around 3:45.....takes an hour and a half to get to Port Royal.    We should make it just in time for hot laps

Will Lincoln drag their feet to kill the daily double?

Some teams will be doing the double. Car counts will be fine. Lincoln didnt mess sround the last 2 weeks. Shows were done by 4. One class and open practice for other divisions. The double will be doable.

What would Lincoln stand to gain by doing that?

I can assure you, Lincoln will not screw around. No is better at keeping a show moving than they are. In fact, if any track were to screw around, it would be Port and since they're running in the evening, it won't affect our ability to do both. I can't wait. This is gonna be a great day.

A successful racing day for both tracks , good crowds, alot of story lines at Port Royal , accessive cautions, fuel stop at lap seven, wheel , hub,or axle assembly coming apart on lead car ,tire choices, one car in Pa is superior , its clear one track stands out in central Pa ,and thank God no one was hurt .

Yeah, none of them at Lincoln, bahahahahahaha. And by the way, prolly is not a word, unless you are a 12 year old texting their bff. And judging by some of your posts, you just may be.

It was a successful day. I enjoyed both races. As far as one track standing out in PA, I don't know about that. I'd put Lincoln and Port both on equal footing except for one thing: the announcer. Wayne Harper is an incredible announcer. He's as knowledgeable about the sport as anyone, very well spoken and has a great sense of humor. Shawn Brouse on the other hand, is probably the most annoying, pompous announcer I've ever heard. I do my best to ignore him but it's very hard to do because they have the speakers cranked all the way to 12 and no matter where you go (even the pits), all you can hear is him screaming into the microphone. Every time he interviews somebody, he's always fishing for compliments about the track surface or all the improvements. We are all well aware that Port Royal has been fixed up and is now one of the nicest tracks in the area. It's time to stop bragging about it. The only thing more annoying is Shane Armstrong. I don't know whose idea it was to give him a microphone and turn him loose on the crowd during downtime, but it was a bad one. Between him and Shawn, there is literally no time in the night where you can just sit there and bullshit with your friends without hearing some clown screaming their asses off into a microphone. Speaking of Shane Armstrong, I thought that little dig he took at Lincoln during his trivia was unprofessional and it pissed me off. I don't know how many people actually caught it but he interviewed a fan and asked how the racing was at Lincoln that day and the fan said good as always and then Shane replied by saying, not as good as here right? I didn't like that especially since Lincoln went out of their way to to push their show through quick so that the people who were doing both, could be on their way with plenty of time to spare. Maybe he didn't intend it to sound that way, but to me, it sounded like a cheap shot.

Ha! That was actually me he interviewed!!! I took that the same way & the only nice thing I could think to say back was "it's good here too". I didn't want to be a dick lol. My kids got a kick out of it too. I thought the race a Port kinda stunk, but that was because Marks, Esh, Eardley, Wolfe, Ott & DD were all out by the end. It was all over when Hodnett got away on the restart & won by half a track. I would,ve loved to see Him & Wolfe at least.

Small world huh? I liked your answer. It was more diplomatic than mine would've been. I'd have told him to shove that mic up his ass if he's gonna bash other tracks......especially one who plugged Port earlier that day and announced that they were going to do everything within their power to keep the show moving so that we could be on our way to Port. You're right though, attrition kind of ruined the race at Port. With that many heavy hitters out of the equation and Hodnett up front, it went how it probably should've. I think it probably would've gotten good between Hodnett and Wolfe toward the end. Greg usually comes on at the end and Lucas has a tendency to fade. We'll never know I guess.

I was waiting for you to say "actually the racing at Lincoln was better" lol.    I wish you would have said it, I would have just to be a dick because Shawn annoys the hell out of me.    I like every announcer at our tracks except Shawn.    Honestly sometimes I don't look forward going to Port Royal just because of having to listen to Shawn yell into the microphone for 4 hours straight.

I almost did lol. I'm a Lincoln regular & if you noticed, I did pause before my answer lol. I actually do think the racing at Lincoln is better, but not because of facilities, track prep or quality of the drivers. It's because the track itself is smaller. 6 or 7 laps into a feature the leader is in heavy lapped traffic & guys get bunched up. It's routine to see the top 3 or 4 running under a blanket along with lappers. It's like watching a NASCAR race at Bristol compared to any long track...guys just don't get strung out nearly as much at Lincoln
