13? LOL More like 3(same as the all-stars). I doubt that PPMS will draw 30 cars as that is a HUGE, no passing, motor track.  Who are the renegades and why should we support them?

31 total at PPMS looks like with Hannigan getting quick time. Looks like most of the guys that have intially committed to the series showed up. Hannigan, Shaffer, Holtgraver, Duncan, Helms, Philo, Kemenah, Dean Jacobs, Wilson, Palker. I wanted to go but work kept me away from it tonight.

I when to the race drove 2+ hours and have to say W O W.  First time to PMMS and the racing was crazy fast I mean CRAZY FAST.  Fast Qualifyer was just under 149 mph and I dont know but I think the track still that fast all night.  I WILL BE BACK to PMMS for some more Renegade Shows in the future.

Thanks for getting me to a new and fastest track I have ever been to for a dirt Winged Sprint Car race.

The A-main was great. The heats were lousy, only enough quality cars for 3. The screwing around after starting so late was rediculous.  Both shows so far have felt unorganized.  Thank you to the W20 and 45 for making the 20 hour day worth while.

Thankfully the feature turned out to be very good but the rest of the show was not. The heats were lousy as the above post said. The advertised start time was for heat races at 6 but the first heat race did not roll out until right around 7:20. Although it might not have much to do with the series but having only three push trucks was a joke and did not help the flow of the program. Despite starting and hour and twenty minutes late, they continued on with a long intermission to do autographs right before the features. This made no sense at all after starting so late and considering the sprint feature was ran last and everyone who wanted a driver autograph could go down to the pits after the show to do so. The whole night really seemed like it was the blind leading the blind. A two division show with 31-sprints and 13 or 14 crate late models that was suppose to start at 6 took until right after 10:20 to complete. That is totally pathetic.

So you saw a "very good" feature, and that gets one short mention at the beginning of your post and the rest is bashing the track and the series.  Of course there are going to be bumps in the road.  PPMS isn't a weekly sprint car track and the Renegade series is new.  Blind leading the blind, but the program was over by 10:20.  If you'd have left that part out of your post, you'd make it seem like you didn't hit the pavement until 1am.  Man people bitch just to bitch anymore.  It must be much easier than saying good things about a track or series.

I agree with you Kart. Over the 40 plus years of watching these races, there have been many races I have attended where the program wasn't over until well past 11:00pm. There is room for improvement sure. The Renegades are trying new things, but ultimately, they seem to have the fans and the teams and the tracks in mind....and that is good for everyone, good for Sprint Car Racing going forward.

I can't imagine that this track and this series wouldn't appreciate honest feedback both positive and negative....so they can get it right going forward...

In my opinion, there is more right than wrong with this group! If there were no Renegade Sprints, my options would have been limited to Fremont or a 6 hour drive to the Kasey Kahne race or to Berlin WOO. I am glad there was a good race closer to me that had World of Outlaws caliber drivers and cars....

The show lasted longer due to the items done for the fans.  The other series did take a while as well.  Blind leading the blind is not true.  The series is doing things such as interviews and fan appreciation that do take time.   At least they did not have a promoter shoving a pregnant lady or grabbing drivers like has happened at another track.  As for another track being done at 9:40 it was because they did not have a B main due to low car count.  The fan appreciation did take some time but what a cool give away.  The Renegades delivered on their drivers and from the posts I have seen the owner of PMS is very happy and wants them back for several shows next year.  Some people may not like the time of the show but why were so many people there AFTER THE RACE AND IN THE PITS?

How was the crowd attendance?

If the races was over by 10:20 I would say that is a success. Come to any track south of I-70 in Ohio and you would be lucky to get out by 1am.

Sorry the facts offended you. I really don't care what track (weekly sprint car or not) or series but if you put out a detailed time schedule like PMS did for this "Renegade" show and can't stick to it or even close to it then expect criticism. I really find it amusing how people think a 2-division show with hotlaps scheduled for 4:30 and the show ended at 10:20 to be ok. A little over 6 hours to run that off is nothing short of laughable at best. But after reading how the initial show at Atomic drug out in the same fashion I guess I should of known better. The Revolution is indeed here.

I'm sorry to hear you feel that way. I personally think the track and series did an excellent job. The track was wide, fast, and racy. 3 and 4 cars wide all night long. Several of the top runners coming from farther back in the pack. Giving away TV's, bicycles, and an autographed helmet. Having an autograph session for the fans. I thought it was a great night. One thing to keep in mind is that a hauler got stuck in the pit entrance and it took about an hour to get it out and get everything moving again. Not to mention earlier start times this late in the year could lead to issues with the sun being in drivers eyes. At PPMS it looks like you wouldnt be able to see clear down the front stretch with the sun setting. I really don't know what other events you could go to and be done by 10:30, most high school football games aren't over by then.

Overall I had a great night and hope to see the Renegades back at PPMS in the future. Thank you to all the PPMS and Renegade people who brought the show here.

Sprintman, send an e-mail to Matt at PPMS. He seems like a nice guy and will glady listen to your complaints....I understand that that they got a hauler stuck and that delayed the start of the program quite a bit. And they are well aware of the importance of running a prompt program. Yes, the show could have been completed sooner,...but even with the giveways to the fans and the autograph session, (both of these things I personally have no need for, but still a nice gesture), and the hauler getting stuck, we still got out by 10:30....I am sure the next time will go more smoothly, but as it was, I have no complaints. I can understand your frustration with it if you were anticipating the show to be over earlier. I thought we would be done much earlier as well. But damn, I love sprint cars and I left very satisfied. So, the facts are not offensive, it is the attitude that is offensive. You are right, the show took longer than necessary......just like hundreds of shows do. Why are you slamming this? Just sit back and enjoy this. More races for the fans to choose from. Go to the ones you want to. When you feel like it, offer constructive feedback, positive or negative....that's it. Maybe next time the race will get run faster for you?
