Bert is not in his grave. I talked with Rick Nichols at Limaland for the Doty and Bert is doing well living in Daytona.

Thank you. I am glad to hear Bert is doing well. Shame the same can't be said for the All-Stars

It's not what your missing, more like what the car owner and DeWease got last year. Nothing. It was mentioned in one of the latest AutoareaRacingNews that Heffner is still in conflict over last years Championship check. One day these promotors will learn..

ahhh--forgot about that. good point.

Guy Webb told me today, that they do not force the guys to run with them, but they do contribute to their pockets a little bit for showing. He told me most of the guys cannot get 2 weeks off of work to run the western swing. Blaney, Jac and maybe a couple others race for a living, that is why they follow the trip. He told me they count on support and they hope that the fans, who ultimately are the ones to please, see a good show. He said the added purse may bring in some guys on the fence of running Wilmot, or elsewhere that night. They go to Husets for a Sunday show after Wilmot, then a few more races farther west, and head back east. He mentioned Rico Abreu and said he most likely is commited to Knoxville for Saturday night, and then he will join up with the UNOH tour in Husets. I fired out an e-mail found on Rico's website, pleading with him to come to Wilmot. So far no response and don't expect one. Webb told me they should have Jac and his son, Blaney and Kaeding. Sheldon wrecked his car, so he worked out a deal with a local owner to have a ride at Wilmot. He also told me of 2 other drivers, one wrecked and the other one lost his ride. I cannot remember who he was talking about. He also told me that it is a co-sanctioned event but with the All Stars running, they bring in sponsorship which makes the purse almost DOUBLE a normal IRA show, so for these guys, it works out. I am not sure what the IRA pays to start the A, but Webb told me to start is $400.00, $1000 for 10th and $5000 to win. I am sorry this is so long, but I hope it explains a few of the things some of you are concerned about, as was I, before my call. He supposedly will be there, hanging by the UNOH souvenir trailer, he would welcome feedback.

Hey Maddog--Jac and son, Blaney, Kaeding and all the IRA boys and possibly some MOWA boys? See you there!! Sounds like a party! I'll bring some cold Coors Light! 410's, left turns and cold beer. What else do we need?

It will be my first visit to Husets, and my 8yr old son's first weekend of sprint car racing. Jac is one of my all time heros, so I'm happy either way. Just hate to see the All Stars struggling...when they draw a good field of cars, like in Ohio for example, the racing always seems to me to be far better than WoO.

I understand these groups need 'support' from the locals, but to run their rules, charge more at the gate for only a 'few' cars of their own? You would think they would force a few more of these guys to run and support the UNOH All Stars....... 2 years ago they supported with 6 cars, last year, maybe 7, this year? It is kind of silly if you ask me......Nontheless, I will be there in support of Sprint Cars in Wisconsin....

Don't worry fruitcake, maybe Mock and the Uttechts and etc... will be there. Lol.

holtgraver made the tow last year is he staying back? to bad Cap couldnt get a ride back this way seems like he was only getting better. i can imagine seeing Sammy, Rico, TK, at Husets along with the regulars like Dobs, Madsen, Dollansky, and McCarl. Other possible drivers, Lasoski, Brown, Wayne Johnson, Zomer. if Knoxville gets rained out again those guys have got to have the racing itch!
