There's been 36 or 37 1 time nationwide winners that nobody even mentions there name.
why all the fuss for his 1 nationwide win????
why all the fuss for losing today in cup? Didn't he lose? Thought he was 2nd and the first LOSER of the race?
when did celebrating happen over 2nd place?
he is a good racer no doubt but Did I watch a race where nobody had nothing for Jimmy but he had trouble?
nationwide and cup........ Isn't that like comparing 360s to 410s?
if so then he won a 360 race and he is now glorified?
if Steve kinser went out and ran a 360 show and won would he be glorified? Or ????
im not hating on Larson but until he can beat the big hitters in cup .... Shut up!!!!
acting like 2nd place is a accomplishment worthy of glorification c-mon
winning a nationwide race was a accomplishment so let's ride that I guess but please with the 2nd place
|
Well I have to give you credit for being the 1st Larson hater to come forward, but....
2nd place for a ROOKIE, dummy! How many other cars in the race? He beat 30+ veterans....

I think Kinser has the most 2nd place finishes in the Kings Royal so let's hit him up and ask him if those were good for his teams or if he even remembers them or wants to talk about them???
|
This is an excellent point and we should ask him. Somehow i highly doubt youd get the response of "all thos 2nds suck and are meanigless and were a complete waste of time ! They obviously prove that at that time we were unable to compete with the best of the best." This is a guess but whats the Royal pay $25000 ? Thats gd for ur team and i dont care who u are. And do you really think the King is ashamed of having the most 2nds at the Royal ? Thanks for taking the bait dirtlover but ur gonna have to do better than that.

Seems like his confidence grows week after week. Great run on the G-W-C yesterday, wish he had gone high on Busch in three and four, but hindsight is 20/20. Slowly creeping-up on points and on Dillon.
He has made this a fun year so far in NASCAR. It's nice to have someone to pull for again. I was a big Stewart fan when he first came in, but his antics grew old with me.
I miss him in our sprint cars/midgets too, but I will always remember seeing that awful Eldora 4-Crown crash a few years ago in person. Then again, the 2013 Daytona Nationwide crash was wicked too.

I am starting to think the entire field of Nascar drivers would wreck going thru 3 and 4 at the Grove on the warm up lap...
Lincoln 1845 ft/.35 mile T1=118MPH
Eldora 2287 ft/.43mile T3=135MPH
Port 2716 ft/.51 mile T3=TBD
Grove 2792 ft/.53 mile T3=135MPH
Selinsgrove 2847 ft/.54 mile T1=136MPH

You know there are always going to be people who just don't get it. You're just that type. Its like the halfbrain nitwits who were commenting on the yahoo news story about Kyle doing doughnuts without the steering wheel. They called him a spoiled punk brat and said how foolish he was to impression young people with reckless antics. No joke thats what some of those idiots think.
If you actually watched those two races this weekend and were left with the impression that what Larson did was no big deal you are most definitely clueless. I'll give you that eventually the awe and amazement at what Kyle does on track will become second nature and we can say no big deal there. For now however it is a big fucking deal! He makes Austin Dillon look way out of his league and he is the rookie that they compare Kyle to. Dillon is only fast where its all about car setup and NOT about driver, Kyle is fast wherever he can get up on the wheel and purely will his car to the front. Face it, you're witnessing a rare and possibly once in a lifetime talent develop right before your eyes.
He is a good kid from a good blue collar family and he loves dirt sprint car racing. So take it all in for whats it worth and enjoy the ride.
Cheers!

Get real, homie. Larson was all over Busch like flies on shit the last lap. A half more of a lap and it was Larson's race.

For the life of me, I can't understand it as to why they don't extend the races one half more laps when someone has a run on the leader...? :/

The only thing I hate is that we will not get to see him in a sprint car as much as years past. Would love to see him run Knoxville again. At least I get to watch his friend Rico wheel it on the dirt.

Looks like Larson has 2 top tens with a top 5 and Dillion has only one top ten so far this year. That tells me who is the faster of the the two. :-)

IF your point is that Dillon is higher in the points than Larson (if that is not your point, I apologize) - if Dillon hadn't crashed Larson at Daytona, along with half the field, including his own teamate (who according to some, came to a dead stop in front of Dillon), the points would be a lot closer.

It is no different than everyone being happy for Logan Schuchart last weekend when he had a 2nd place run, point is, a rookie running 2nd against some of the best drivers in the business, is quiet an acomplishment, them guys he was around and passing, have been in the Cup series, for quiet some time now, and he is running right with them!

You are exactly right ! I wont speak for anyone else but me in saying" Im celebrating him getting 2nd yesterday. He got 2nd in the biggest racing tour in the USA !!! He got 2nd in the series that people that dont know anything about racing pay attention to. By getting 2nd ,somewhere somebody said" Isnt that the kid from from sprint cars ?" Dirtlover you and i are from the same little circle that you speak of. Im proud to be part of the same circle as you dirtlover! Im also proud of Kyle Larson succeeding because hes from the kind of racing that you n I love to watch. I will beat the Larson drum fervently to anyone that will listen because hes a sprintcar racer ! Same for Smoke , Kahne , Stenhouse and anyone else i may have forgotten. Larson is bringing attention to the sport that you love .... try and enjoy it.
