Always been a Tyler fan and always will be. You can't tell me no other racecar driver has never gone on rant in the pits. Big deal, get over it people.

Yeah you guys that sit here and point fingers have no idea the adrenaline thats running through you at times like this. I'm not making excuses for him because I do think he could have handled it differently. I bet if you were to ask him today or two hours later he would say he would've handled it differently also. If I remember seeing this correctly, Tyler qualified 5th so he had a pretty fast car. Faster than he's had all week. He loses a right rear in his heat and then gets dq'ed for hitting a cone that he apparently gets drove into? I would be a little pissed off by the end of the night myself. I guess he should've walked back to his trailor and thought "oh shucks, I'll get em next time" If you like drivers that don't show emotion then thats fine but lets stop hating on the ones that do.

I'm a Tyler fan as well. I think he's as exciting in a sprint car as anyone. But he has to be more aware of the situation he is in here. His reputation, warranted or otherwise, is going to lead people to make assumptions about him. I know he might not give a damn about that, but I can guarantee you his car owners hate seeing that video on YouTube. They took a chance on him, bringing him back to PA. He needs to act more responsible and not let his emotions completely takeover like that.
With that said, I hope he puts in on the front stretch tonight and apologizes for his actions last night in his victory speech.

The 747 was busy keeping the crowd entertained with on track drama and walker got stuck under him and hit the cone when the 747 did not come up to speed on the restart...or he ran out of fuel. Then walker comes unhinged with a parade lap tantrum and culture lesson as seen on film.
All in all, the night was filled with an interesting display of frustration from drivers of parts unknown.
Hoping they a show up tonight as a rematch is good for ticket sales.

You're right it was the 747 not Marks, for some reason I thought it I read Marks.

I agree with you completely but if his car owner thought he was going to get something other than "Tyler Walker" then he was mistaken...

At the end of the day, T Dub sells tickets......and probably more tonight - not less.
If you want cookie-cutter PR guys, spend your Sunday afternoons in front of the TV.

Kurt Busch is a top level NASCAR driver who has issues with what he says/how he behaves from time to time. Tyler Walker is a mid level sprint car driver who has all of those issues and plenty more. When Busch starts driving Late Models because he got kicked out of NASCAR, then gets kicked out of several Late Model rides because of repeated drug use/severe character flaws, then you can start comparing them. Tyler Walker is a pathetic excuse for a sprint car driver or a human being in general. Always has been and always will be, this is not going to change.

But you ARE making an excuse for his behavior!!! Being a PROFESSIONAL means you represent your sponsors with class and being able to control you emotions!
Would you want Tyler Walker representing your brand?? I'm sure Bass Pro, Chevy, Apple Chevrolet and every other major sponsor will look at Tyler as tainted.

mwilaski, let me ask you a question, you are up to 78 posts on here and you are grading Tyler as a mid level driver, and you describe his character flaws compared to the Busch brother.Where on this earth did you get your analyzing degree,to judge people and compare them to theirs and others behavior.Yes , its a free site and many of us have at one time or the other judged people and their actions on here, you seem to do that with frequency,.Have you ever met and talked with Tyler, you might just change your tune quickly. So,get the fish hooks out of your pockets and go buy a ticket to a race where Tyler is running ,go talk to him. He might be nice to you depending on how you address him,and in the future your judgement should not preclude you actually knowing a little about the person and talk to them in person before you throw the darts, you can be a better person I'm sure and we all can.Constructive criticism is good for some people, take it like that.

I'm not trying to make an excuse but people have to realize its not that easy to just walk away. Yeah its easy for all of us to sit here and point fingers but nobody knows what we would do if we were put in that situation. Do I wish Tyler would've handled it differenty? Absolutely! Mainly for the reason you stated, so he can get better rides.
Lucky for me, I pick the drivers I like based on their driving style and the way they treat their fans.
For the rest of you, it must be tough finding a driver thats perfect in all aspects of life on and off the track.

Bet n Housen I'm not making any excuses for the guy, but # of posts on here has nothing to do with knowledge of sprint car racing, or the person they're talking about for that matter. How many posts does Doug Wolfgang have on this site? Would you call into question his expertise if he came on here and made a reply?
That said, emotions run high and it's too bad that a situation like this has happened. The guy needs to get his act together and realize he should be walking on eggshells after all the chances he's had and bridges he's burned through his actions. I wish nothing but the best for him because he is exciting to watch for sure, but rest assured his chances at showing his talents are dwindling with every outburst.

Maybe he's not a true professional. Maybe he's just a guy that loves to drive a sprint car. Get over it.

for the record, some of you that would like to attribute this behavior to marijuana usage, it doesn't exactly work that way! LOL pretty sure stone cold sober get extremely pissed off regualrly! anyway, back on topic.... what a knob! you'll catch more bees w honey. that behavior isn't going to get the officials to reverse their decision. now, calmly yet passionately explaining that you got squeezed in to the cone, that MIGHT work out in your favor. MIGHT. otherwise, if you're REALLY pissed at someone? withhold your being present at any future race for eternity. That's how you say "eff you". Kids in the stands don't need to see that kind of behavior. it's just a damn race. END RANT
