I am in the process of building a new ALL PRO Headed motor. Its about time to order my heads and i would like so input on what heads i should get. After doing a little research i see alot of 280-2 motors and 286-2 motors. Can Anyone tell me what the diffidence is between the -2s -3s -4s ??? What Heads are being used on the current Outlaw motors this year. Any insite on this would be great.
thanks

its too bad a simple technical question can be hyjacked into something comical for some on here, I know there is a Tech side of hoseheads and you'd proubly have better luck getting a realistic answer there, but, for the mainstream, for most to feast thier eyes on, well, you came to the right place , just use your own risk on here, ive been down that road too, and most willing to chomp at my ass about something on here are proubly the same ones i could sit down with and share a laugh with too, some things put in writing is much more personable than verbaly (note to self) , anyway, I too ams slowly accumulatinfg parts to build a Allpro (well, 13 degree motor) I have spoke with Lee at Ostrich.Steve at Gearte,Brodix,Bob from Allpro,Bob from Hampshire, all had good advice but a bit troubling to decide which is best for me , Im proubly biting off more than I can chew, Ive really decided on the 286-2 -2-3-4 is the valve seat angles, the 286 series is big, really big, better suited for Half miles ect throttle responce lags as compaired to a 270 much much more responcive and driveable in traffic and shorter tracks (now cam and injection will also play part in this) the 285 Brodix is compairable and a little bit cheaper all ports rockers ect are the same patters between the two , I strongly recomend paying close attention to where youll be racing the mill the most, what the charateristics of the track is, where its good ,?where its not? religously watch this , (track 1 2 3 4 spring, summer, rainfall, hot, overcast, wind, late what have you) Most of the engine builders are good, build a relationship with one, yes, buy thier product is a good start, One racer to another, I will NEVER be capable of trying different things when it comes to engines , anyone who says that is racing with someonelses money ,
regardless, Im the first to accept, I went too large with some of my items for my build , but , I dont get a second chance at this , I do not want to be out ponied if the track stays heavy so a cinderblock with a helmet could drive the car ,( I dont need any excuses I like it that way ) So, Im still looking for the 286-2 Allpro or 285 Brodix , last time I checked about a month ago, either one will set ya back a cool $ 8-9k depending on porting ,and valvetrain differeances , so im in the market for used , and very tuff to find, most are destroyed if they are for sale , good luck , PM me if someone has a set, Im very interested myself .

I'm glad to see someone had a suggestion for ya. The post did seem to get hi-jacked but just a suggestion that it was you coming out and blasting the first few posters that said anything and I didn't think any of their replies were that offensive. If you come out and call someone a dumbass you can likely expect poor results.
Anyways, wish you the best with your new motor, hopefully it gets up and goes and gets your team some wins.

Atleast You Know Who You Are.................

You, it seems, are the jerkoff here. I hope beyond all hope, that anyone looking for something that you may be producing and selling, see's how much of an ass clown you are and go elsewhere with their money. You have terrible business sense. Now come on, prove me right, I know you will....
