IMCA has a 50.00 claim on shocks. That isnt smart running a 200.00 shock legal or not IMO.

Looking at these pictures i would say these screw on ends were legal stock type ends if they mount in stock location i would say there was nothing wrong with them.But before i made a ruling on them i need to look at one more closely to see if the ends were a bearing type end or a rubber bushed type like a orielly bought shock.Just because somebody goes farther than the competition to be more innovative doesnt mean they are cheating it means they are working harder than everyone else . milt david

I believe it is a heim end with a crossbar made in it.

The steel crossbar rides on a rubber bushing no ball involved so they r stock type I could see the gripe if the shocks were riding on heim ends . From what I can see ppl are just using their heads and doing their homework . Some ppl just like to complain and make excuses for everything but true racers are always looking for new and innovative ways for more speed! Don't hate the player hate the game

Jorski dont think anybody was complaing bout them. We wouldnt be talking bout them if he wasnt DQ for runing them. Those guys in houston bein runing this class for years thats were it started no one up here doing cfrap they havnt done or tried. And like martin bond said true racer try wht they can but dont bitch when i catch you take it go fix it and come back. And putin 800 dollar shock on a car to run for 250 to 500 anit using your head thats out spending the other guys let clear that up.

then why not buy all four corners for 200 from him its not the sole responsibility of a sanctioning body to keep the cost dowm that is why there is a claim on certain things which a rule also

There should be a lot of claims at every track not just the Imca ones , cause no matter where you go there's always gonna be someone there that's got a lot more money than you , let them guys pay the new price and then get it off the bargain rack , that might make ppl think twice about dumpin so much cash in a class like that .
But for the record I don't really see a problem with the way those kinda shocks are mounted , they r ridin on rubber

agree with the claiming deal but hardly ever see it used. i guess guys would rather get on here and gripe then take a 200.00 shock for 50.00....
Its up to the racers to claim the guys dumping all that money in their cars, it wont stop them from dumping big money into the cars but it will spread around some good pieces....lol
The sportmod class is a great class and will remain that way if there are no rule changes, if there is good and constant tech happening, and there is claims happening....
