Does anybody wonder how much money is being spent on campaigning for voting yes for maps3? It would blow our minds but they would probably cover it up and try to make everbody look stupid as usual.
It would probably buy 1500 school buses LMAO.....
70 acre intercity park you ever wonder how long it will take to be infested with prostitutes and gang bangers?

The money alone spent on advertising would have brought in ADA compliance.

I can tell you first hand that not all the projects from the first Maps are done. Shoot they have not even started on the plans to complete some of the projects and those projects are still a good two years from getting done.
Do not let them fool you the schools are not getting what they were promised and with that they are letting everything break before fixing them the right way.
I wonder how much they paid Norrick to get on the commerical. I know a cop that is about ready to throw his show at his TV everytime he sees Corrnet on TV.

One of my buddies on my facebook page just posted that he saw in the gazette that we are supposed to have a vote early next year to build a new 300 million county jail.

For the first time ever I'm with Larry.
As much as you all think that a NO vote will save SFS, your living in the past. Maybe its time it goes away. No mystique anymore. Just another racetrack.
We hold Thunder tickets and, frankly, walking through Bricktown Friday night before the game was eye opening. Between the game, the women's church conference at the Cox Center and just your normal Friday night folks--Bricktown was packed.
Great cities are built around a vibrant urban core. Not a 3/8 mile racetrack. Get over it. OKC has a much brighter future than most of you could possibly imagine.

Tells me that we should be thankful that you decide to grace us with your with your precious ass, that is of course when you decide to show up at the track. We all know we need to bow down to your Royalty.
You are a good driver, but if you were/are that damn good why don't we see you in the National spot light.....I'm just asking, since you are so much better than everyone else.
Hey, I just get on this deal for fun and sometimes to stir the pot a little.
But seriously, what makes you any better than a Street Stock driver? Other than $$$$$. You are both Racers with the same passion.

I used to walk around Bricktown when it was a stomping ground for drunks and homeless people. IT WAS AND IS A RELIC FROM THE PAST UPDATED TO MEET CURRENT NEEDS. You know this to be true, don't you?
The Stockyards, same story.

Everybody needs to get a grip Maps3 don't have a damn thing to do with SFS. Don't get me wrong I am against Maps3 for a number of reasons. I agree with a lot of people I DO NOT want to see the track bull dozed either but it is what it is.

So, if I want something to be built that would benefit everybody, do I have the right to hold everybody in the city at gunpoint and say "cough up"? The one difference between a politician and his schemes and the street robber is that the street robber doesn't demand that you thank him for stealing from you. As for the economists who have been saying that this will be so great and everything, well, there is an OCU economist that says otherwise, I cannot remember his name. Never trust a Government School economist (OU and OSU) to tell you the truth about Government finance.

An April Sunday Oklahoman indicated otherwise.
I never said anything because we were told by the high ups that the "speedway was safe". Well, why are we aware now of it's imminent demise?

It dont matter if maps3 passes or not. The track is gone after 1012 anyway. Sad deal.

The speedway's imminent demise is due to a lawsuit against the city. The court has ruled that the grandstand must be ADA compliant by Jan.1st 2012. Because of this lawsuit MAPS3 does not have any bearing on the speedway's future. The fair board will not spend the money on the grandstand becuase it is not in their long term plans to keep the grandstand, therefore it would not make sense to spend money on something that will be torn down in the near future. Now, if the lawsuit had never happened then MAPS3 would be revelvant and its outcome would be crucial.

My next question is
Who put up the lawsuit, and what is their relation to the MAPS3 project?
The timing is certainly interesting.................
Last year the Speedway was going to be here for years to come.

My guess is some busy-bodied bureaucrat who has a limp that just wants to be an ass, along with his bloodsucking attorney. Incidently, they don't teach blood-sucking in law schools... most of it comes with some of the students when they arrive.
