15 sprint cars. Highlight of the night was the weak 4 car wheelie contest..

Hope Mr. Kearns does something for the packed house to make up for this wasted night!

And just who are you - the Board Monitor? No doubt the three drivers you mentioned are very good, but not, "the three Best sprint car drivers in the western states." You get a thrill watching Tyler Walker run away from a short field of super modifieds. That had to be thrilling - sitting there eating your popcorn watching all the passing and slide jobs at Santa Maria (sarcasm intended). Go play on the Norcal Board - oh wait, they don't like you either! Congratulations to Chris Kearns for a great job of promoting his race track.

No genius, I believe that is your job (1300 posts and counting). You comment on everything but the day of the week. Draw yourself another beer and relax

I'm gonna stay off the whole subject of wing vs non wing because people like what the like and arguing on a message board isn't going to change anyones mind.

I do like to hear comment like hogracer3d who apparently likes racing period! I like wing and non wing, pavement and dirt. Ya know what? I've seen good races among all of them and I've seen some bad races too.

I would like to know though were you hear the Norcal Board doesn't like ihatebush. Heck, he's well liked, on the board, and at the track. Never seen him sitting in the stands eating popcorn.

I am amazed - he does have a friend! Carwash your comments have always been straight forward and never critical of another poster. Unfortunately that is not the case with your friend. BTW, Wednesday was a nice day here in Socal and maybe I will have a beer.

Hey Rob be sure to stop by and say hi! Glad to see you'll be making it up. Hopefully Mike will be there too, it's not quite the same when carwash isn't there.

Good point, but there is no reason for Ihatebush to come on a "traditional" sprint car board and start his crap about wings vs. non-wings. He took my post totally out of context, for I was only commenting on the car count for a GSC event at SMS. I did not deserve to be the beneficiary of his emotional outburst. Do us a favor Ihatebush and get a little bit more information before you fly off the handle.

 Mr. Kearns,

Not hard to please when it comes to open wheel dirt racing.

Honestly, do you think the race fans seen a good show???

Not saying it was your fault the lights went out, but for over 15 minutes we sat in the dark. With no word from anyone we decided to call it a night at around 10:20  With a very small 410 car count and a long show with very few passes in the heats, yea I'd say it was a waste of time. The wheelie show was a cool novelity that I'd like to have back again. Of course the drivers where apologizing for the track prep but yes, that WAS the hightlight before the lights went out.

WTF,

How did this post go to go karts???

Started this post to inform race fans that SMS went dark and the show never made it to the IMCA or GSC main events. Was disappointed with the 410 car count and drawn out night but Mr. Kearns has done a great job this year. I'd bet a paycheck that Chris expected more sprint cars too!!! The best place to see open wheel racing the weekend of August 8th will be Santa Maria Speedway.wink
