I can tell from your response that you are only judging by what you have heard or read and not by actual knowledge of the situation. I will say nothing more and let time be the judge.

I know Tyler very well I consider him part of my family he did make a mistake and he will be the first to admit that. He also went and got help and he knows he has a rough road ahead of him with people like you being so negative and voicing their opinion about something they know NOTHING about!!! I spent alot of time with him at Knoxville and he is doing very well!! So Gaby is correct in saying he made a mistake, got help, and is doing much better and the people that KNOW him know that for a fact!! Unlike people like you that think they know him just because they read shit about him on a racing forum!!

Well, I guess I was wrong again. I truly thought KK had a little more sense then that. I guess I am just old fashioned but I don't understand why anyone in their right mind would put him in their car and have them represent them. Oh, well.
|
I'm guessing it has something to do with Kasey wanting to see one of his driver standing on the podium at the end of a race. Maybe it's wanting to see fans all over the stands wearing T-shirts with his car and sponsors displayed.
When you're at a track out here in NorCal you'll often see and hear Walker fans in numbers that rival many of the drivers that have been racing here for years. This is an area that rarely supports anyone from SoCal and he's been able to build that fan base in less then a full season of racing here.
People can keep on hating but it's only a fool that refuses to recognize the appeal he has to the young and coming fan base. From my view this guy has treated the fans, media and fellow drivers with total respect. He races clean and appears to be living clean. I don't sit in the stands with a Tyler Walker shirt on or scream for him to win but I sure do enjoy the show!

I have said nothing about his past problems, addictions, recovery, mistakes, etc. Everybody that seems to be supporting him brought all of that up. I only made a statement that it surprised me that Kasey or anyone else would want him representing him. If you know him well and spent so much time with him in Knoxville you would see what I mean. I saw him in the pits, around town, during the races, etc., and unless you were in the market to sell skate boards or something to teenagers, I don't see him as a good example of what the racing community should project. Only my opinion. Has nothing to do with all his many problems.
My wife told me if I went to one more Sprint Car race
she would leave me.................I'm sure gonna miss
that ol' gal.

Yes! This cameraman is excited to see Tyler coming our way this weekend. Should make for a great 3 day weekend with TW taking on Blaney, Dewease, Hannagan and all.
More film at 11.

It will be interesting to see how all this plays out...
If "T-Dub", LOL whatever that means???... steps into the 19, I will be curious to see how well he performs.
It is only my opinion, but I truely believe that Joey carries that KKR 9 directly on his back. Unless they have a nice cushion to roll around, that thing jumps around like a pogo stick.
That said, Joey should quit crying the blues in his post race interviews, about not having done a good job, its hard to be a hero when your driving a dump truck.
|
T-Dub stands for TW in short, aka Tyler Walker. Was it that hard to figure out? I've been called T-Dub for years! Maybe it is that hard, seems easy to me..............Troy White aka TW aka"T-Dub"
SUPPORT WILDLIFE, go to a sprint car race!

The limited edition PepsiĀ® with the lemon flavor ain't all that bad...
Not gonna take over my NOS addiction, but worth buying when on sale.
Rankings: NOS original, then the fruit punch and only buy the grape when in a dire thirst situation.

I'm still dissed after his little move during the Nats. but Tyler will get every bit out of what this car is worth and then some. He's won in just about every car he's ever driven in his career. I thought I read or heard somewhere that he'd be on the WoO tour next year (if there is one) but I was thinking it would be in the 24 car. This may be a preview of things to come.
Go out and redeem yourself Tyler!

F_cking great we now have a cop amongst our ranks...what is the world coming to? Just the presence of your policeman title is making me roll up a spliff. I will be right back I have to step outside and burn one. On another note, if recovering addicts were to not be allowed in sprint cars, as crew, or as spectators... we wouldnt have but maybe 2-300 people in the stands and maybe 8-10 racers to cheer on. Ah hell who really cares about your stick up the ass attitude anyways, I will be fine sitting around the campfire of the next big race I am at smoking bowls and drinking booze with fans, crew members and racers alike. Get a god damn clue people. None of you high horse aholes are worth an ounce of crap.
Cheers!

So are you thinking the future of Sprint Car racing is us old timers? I was hoping the pretty boy politically correct marketable types were just expected in the NASCAR and Indy series. I know I'm a bit delusional though.
Seems to me that future Sprint Car fans will include those very same X Game thrill seeking teenagers. I'm willing to bet that more then a few of todays up and coming Sprint Car drivers have spent some time on a skate board. Those same youngsters I suspect will be purchasing Tide, Budweiser, Gold Cup tickets, race shirts and hiring Contractors some day.

No sh_t! Your dead right on this. Anyone who doesnt identify with youth culture is missing out on the largest potential fanbase there is. I myself am cut from a different mold than the norm and I am grateful there are those people like Tyler who say f_ck it to the plain jane crowd. Be your own man and walk your own walk. At least TW has style and is a hell of a great sprint car driver too.
Cheers!
