Hate to tell you...the HL has a deeper field than do the outlaws.

There you go cheerleading again. They have only run a few races so far, check back after Knoxville and see how deep it is then you'll know.

I have to ask, why does this place go out of its way to crap on balog and the IRA? like you guys crapped on him for finally leaving the IRA and running all stars, then you crap on him running with the outlaws, and when he does run well there's a heavy majority that still thinks that he is doing a terrible job. I get that some may not like him or feel that he is overrated for his success with the IRA but dang guys it's literally every little thing he does and you guys trash him. He is keeping up with the top guys while racing them clean, which is a far cry from what a bunch of the other high priced teams do to him. He's keeping up in the rookie of the year points against a highly funded roth team and could easily find himself battling for sixth in points once Sheldon chokes away another race and junks his equipment.

I may be biased being a long time IRA fan and seeing one of our own be successful on a national stage but I will say that I have a great deal of respect for a guy who is willing to take a chance on himself and chase his dreams down even when it means that he has to foot the bill himself.

Whatever deep is supposed to mean. I think most fans would rather have a field that is fast.

When the HL guys race with the Woo they do rather well.....just saying.

Let's go Sprint Car Racing!

Knoxville - Best Track In the USA!
Eldora - 2nd Best Track in the USA!

All I read on here is how good the Woo drivers were and how bad the HL drivers were.  I guess that so far has been proven false.

Sounds like an experienced crew chief is badly needed?  He had great success running IRA 410 as a full timer against many part time racers. He is now with the big boys with big sponsors. Would High Limit be a better choice for him?

If High Limit was a better fit for him at this point in his career, that's where he'd be. He's been racing and winning for a long time now. He knows how to run his team and he doesn't need your idiotic advice.

And yet, given all that "freedom" to race wherever they want, they don't. HL having a "deep field" apparently doesn't mean anything.... just saying.

Sure, and running against Eliason and Parker Price Miller would surely put the fear of God in any sprint car driver...

So much freedom to roam, so little wander lust. But it does give Rico more time to post on Insta

I can't wait until Rico gets back out there.  He will be fast.  BTW, I also remember reading on hear that Abreau, Larson, and Sweet were going to win most of the HL races.  Well they have won one do far.

What's keeping him from being out there I thought they were fighting for the freedom of all drivers from oppression?

He's busy developing a combination mullet hat/oven mitt to sell at a 400% mark up price out of his air conditioned trailer. Life is tough for these guys living so impoverished having to make ends meet on 6 figures a year. Damned Outlaws anyhow........

I wonder if any of the drivers read these threads/replies about them? Probably not, and I wouldn't blame them.

The know-it-all sprint car experts on here sure do love to dish out their advice. Alwayus good for a laugh! I'm sure Balog appreciates your advice and analysis PeteP.

He's probably interviewing Ricky Warner as we speak.  Can you imagine if Balog had Ricky as his crew chief the last 15 years?  Balog would have won 11 Nationals.   wink

That's pretty funny. I bet a die cast model of him on his four wheeler would sell like hotcakes. The dude knows how to market.

Drivers and teams would be wise to listen to advice from everyone. One never knows who may step up and sponsor them or buy their swag.  I know a couple of his sponsors. I thought about becoming one but not replying to emails from them caused me to lose interest. One never knows . . . . . .

OK, who are the Balog sponsors you know? What is the name of your company you offerred to sponsor him with?

We'll wait....

Also, since you feel drivers would be wise to listen to advice from any Joe Blow out there, here's mine: Donny Schatz - you need to be more aggressive at times. You need to time better. Your car needs to be all white with unicorns on it. You need to draw better when you're in the dash draw. You need to stay after the races in the pits until the sun starts coming up in case a fan wants to interact with you - and offer you their advice. You're welcome Donny!
