Is Lincoln the only small track that races sprints in eastern PA?  I seem to recall in the past reading about Pathways, Linda's and something to do with an airport?

Grandview has a few every year.  Kutztown had one last year...not sure if it is scheduled for this year.

Path Valley, they havn't been there for a couple of years.

Linda's as far as I can remember...410's have not been there schedule.  I don't know if they have ever been there.

Silver Springs - closed a number of years ago for a shopping plaza.

Trailways - has not had a 410 race in a few years.  It is for sale as of 11.4.21.

Let's go Sprint Car Racing!

Knoxville - Best Track In the USA!
Eldora - 2nd Best Track in the USA!

Trailsways had the one 410 Memorial race for the past couple years. They had even widen the track for super lates a year or two ago. Doubt it happens but would love to see it stay open.

Lastnight was a prime example of 1/2 mile snooze fest.  Not all of them are but.  All 7 races won from front row. Top 6 in A started top 6. Top 10 started top 11.  +5 hard charger.  Thought I was watching the Grove for a sec.   But it was combo 1/2 mile and track too much hammer down. Looking forward to smaller track or 1/2 mile like eldora Knoxville port royal.

The midweek show at Vado on a 3/8th mile track wasn't much better either.

Put me in the camp of preferring 410 winged sprints on smaller tracks for better action.

Last 2 WoO half mile races Perris was very good, Devil's Bowl not so good.

Armyduke, is this the incognito way of saying a Coach K fan??

It doesn't matter if they are a 1/4 mile all the way up to a 1/2 mile.  If the track is not prepared correctly the racing is going to be subpar.

I don't know if they received a lot of rain over a period of time before raceday at Vado or Devils Bowl?  That can play a lot into it as well.

Thank you all for being worthy of the service and providing me the honor to have the opportunity to have done it.  Great game great rivalry will not be the same I fear.  Coach K ends his career 50 wins and 50 losses against UNC pretty neat.

I like both but in general I think the smaller tracks have better racing, depends on track shape and surface too. Path Valley and Kutztown are a little too small for 410's IMO, seems more like a novelty exhibition instead of a race. 3/8 seems to be about the right size to provide good racing and impressive speed. Bridgeport's new 3/8 configuration is amazing, wide, fast and racey. Lerverville is great too, think that one's 4/10. I think rounder tracks tend to be better than paper clips as well.

Tulare is a paper clip track and it has great racing! Placerville and Merced are very small 1/4 tracks and aren't too small for 410 races.

Looking forward to the new Golden State King of the
West series schedule!

I liked the 410s at Path Valley during Speedweek a few years ago... wish they'd bring 'em back!

Some guy sitting next to me at the Grove last year was raving about Midgets at Kutztown last year, so I went, for USAC tour. It was great!

That looked even smaller than Path.... is it?

Yeah midgets are great on small tracks like PV and Kutztown. I think Kutztown is a little smaller than PV. I think a 1/4 mile can work for full size sprints as long as it's wide and banked enough.

I once saw 360 sprints at a 1/3 mile track in NY(Woodhull) that was extremely paper clipped shape but it was also very high banked and very wide. The racing was good, unique place.

after going to the Indiana sprint week....wingless on small track has got to be on the top of my list.....driving is the number one qualification to winning there...watching cars set up for the turns and almost like backing into the turns was so exciting to watch.so much that my brothers and I are going to the Indiana Midget week this year....cant wait

Totally agree!
I've been to both Indiana Sprint & Midget Weeks, but never to all the races (Usually either the East or West side of state but not both). Its excellent.... were you at Montpelier a few years back to see Larson & Bell battle it out in the Midgets? So much fun.... little country track too Smile
