Nice weather, decent fields of cars.  I swear that susky may have the best racing surface at times, heck the heat races were even good, I think the double file restarts helped. The features kinda looked ok from what I could see through the billowing dust. I wonder if I could get a partial refund since I could only half the track.  I don't care about the upgrades at susky, its nothing more  than lipstick on a pig. As a fan I like to see racing, not orange clouds of dust or the mega flag stand that obstructs my view of half the track. The newer bleachers are ok but still to close together, maybe they should take some time during the week to hose down their aluminum bleachers they probably haven't been washed all year, if I wanted to get new fans interested in racing susky is not a place I would take them. Its still the same ole dusty crap hole.

I took a former coworker with me to BAPS last year. It was pretty dirty that night and I warned him in advance that we'd likely eat some dust. After all, it's a dirt track right? He'd never seen a sprint car before. His weekends were consumed with Little League so a Thursday evening show at BAPS worked perfect for him. He left there a fan and has since attended races at Williams Grove, Lincoln, Port Royal and Bedford as well. He's enjoyed it every time he's gone. He went from never seeing a sprint car to becoming a repeat customer over the course of 3 dusty hours at BAPS.

What more could I want, how about being able to see the back stretch and turns 3 and 4. You should be able to figure out that I sit near turn 1, I'm curious as to how much better the viewing would have been from turn 4, I doubt much if any.  Susky did run an effiecent show though just wish I could have seen more of the features.  So you had a fan hooked after 3 hours of susky, you must have got there late or left early, there is no way they run a show in 3 hours. I remember some 2 division shows only a year or two ago that ran at 5+ hours there. I've been going to susky since 84 and I've always liked the track I just wish they would get their dust problem resolved. Yesterday was mostly overcast with no wind, thats about the only reason I went. If it would have been sunny and windy, not a chance. Where was everyone sitting that didn't have to endure the haboob and could see the whole race track?

I didn't time it exactly and it's been long enough now that I don't remember exactly what time we left but we got there during engine starts and left after the 410 feature. It's about a 2.5 hour drive and we were home at around 11:30. At any rate, he left there happy and so did I. As far as the dust, I've seen the same conditions at Lincoln, Port Royal and Trail-Way this season. It's part of the game. I had a great time last night and I sit toward turn 1 too.

Then if you hear people say the view was good and you continue to sit in the same seat and have trouble then who is the fool??? You are! We sit in the bleachers of turn 4 all of the time. Some nites the dust sucks others it doesn't. The flag stand is what it is. It partially blocks the view wherever you sit. The dust last nite was minimal at best. If you had trouble seeing last nite then maybe you won't ever be satisfied. There is definitely an issue with dust at Susky but last nite was not bad. The November race will be in the day with sun and wind for sure. I'll go and deal with it. If you go and it's too dirty don't say someone didn't warn you. Thanks Susky for a well run show last nite, it was worth the 250 mile drive for sure.

I've tried sitting in different spots in the stands at that joint, from one end to the other and its about the same at either end. I was at a show there last year about this time ( it was a lincoln susky double) and I didn't even need my dirt glasses and I came on to this forum and praised the track and management. That was the last time I was there til last night.  I've had enough of my friends tell me this year susky is still just dusty susky, thats why I choose not to go there often.  I've been to a lot of tracks and yes sometimes they get dusty in a bad way but susky is perpetually dusty enough you can't see the whole track. If last night was minimal dust I would hate to see the sandblasting you must be used to.  I heard a 410 driver say that he couldn't see much at all during his feature, right from the horses mouth there. I'm glad you guys drive 200-300 miles up hill both ways to get to susky  you are true race fans and I salute you.

Can we get Susky to make the flag stand deck smaller?

If not , how about selling seats on it.  The track is connected to Dover Speedway.  That track has special setting for the crossover bridge at turn three.  Maybe Susky can follow it's big brothers lead.

Maybe make it a party deck.

Yeah if I have one complaint about the place that would be it. The thing is HUGE and it really affects the sightlines from much of the grandstands.

I agree about the flag stand......At most tracks you try to sit up as high as possible, when I attend a race at BAPS, I try to sit as low as possible to see underneath the monster.....other than that, I have enjoyed most of the 410 races over the last two seasons. I will continue to support the track whenever they have a 410 race.

Easy for me to say, but sure wish was a way to open infield to fans. Baps and Trailway once a yr is only tracks i go to and sit in stands. Love standing in infield.
