How many teams could afford to follow that long of schedule with time off from work, etc? Your Speedweek is too long as it is. Many on here who are from PA have stated that there are too many races already in PA for the 410s. When you have a PA Speedweek show that only draws a car count in the 20's, I can't see that many PA tracks ponying-up that kind of purse (like a Big Diamond).
Ohio Speedweek works because of many reasons, one of which it has a major sanctioning body behind it, and car counts in the 30s, 40s, and sometimes 50s.

The tracks pony up because PA speedweek races draw large crowds. It's true that not many teams follow the whole schedule. Car counts don't compare to OH but there's generally enough at each track for a good show.

Right now there are 14 teams attempting to run all the races if they all make it I am sure that Selinsgrove will be able to ad 10 cars to make a feild of 24.
With the All Stars at Sharon on Saturday one or two might make the trip in to get track time for the Nace race in September.
M1,29,66,33 AND MAYBE EVEN 28 FROM THE 360 MIGHT RUN AND Heimbach and Buckwalter should be there.
Selinsgrove should switch with Path Valley for the Finalle when its after the 4th its the worst night of the whole week (Back To Work Monday)
|
The Shuster's also run some 410 races. Selinsgrove usually has a full field but not too much more.

Is there a user friendly website to find the results of the PA speedweek?
|
https://www.paspeedweeks.com/ .... just click on each date for results. I'm still waiting for Grandview results, got back to Connecticut today

Good action tonight in the A, but if you stayed to.watch the modifieds you saw my boy Strunky drive from 23rd to win the feature while.running the outside. You dont see that too often at Grandview.

Bell had climbed to as high as 3rd until he blew a tire and it unfortunately collected Starks.

I saw the sb modifieds there a few weeks ago during their USAC ES show. They are a great show. Godown (sp?) won that night. I love the eastern modifieds. Those guys race hard, and rubbin is racing! Out here Ohio, I'd have to drive across the state to see them at Sharon. They are the best looking race cars imo.

This is what PA Speedweek should look like ....
Sat- Lincoln
Sun- Path Valley
Mon- Bedford or Trailway
Tues- Grandview
Wed- Hagerstown
Thurs- BAPS
Fri- Williams Grove
Sat- Port Royal
Sun- Selinsgrove
Why we can't make this happen is beyond me. If ya wanna throw WG in there on Friday to open it up, fine. I understand that they're trying to help out our "big 3" tracks but let's find some other way to do that. Cmon Alan, let's make Speedweek great again.

I’ve always thought ending Speedweeks at Selingrove with the smallest car count of the week didn’t make a ton of sense. I’d bag Hagerstown and give that date to Selinsgrove and end the week on a high note at Port Royal.

From what I saw last night, yeh.....bag Hagerstown. Boring night of racing. That's one reason, the other is the announcers....they're terrible! Cliche' spouters.......how many times in one night can an announcer utter the phrase "haulin' the mail" and sound credible as a race announcer? And I'm not sure which one it was, but I'd be surprised if he didn't soil himself a couple times.....way to excited for the racing that was actually going on. Had to be a strain trying to make the races interesting......I mean really, DD passing four cars the first lap of a B Feature is not that outstanding given the competition in front of him on the start of that one. And the other guy would have been more at home calling a horse race. Sorry, but that's how I heard it.
