To my understanding, Logan is doing a lot of work on that car. For a while, I think him and Jacob basically had the same cars. But as Logan has learned and picked things up, he;s kind of throwing his own set ups at the track and satuff based on what hels learned and thinks. I think hels just grown a lot. And obviously they have been extremely fast lately.
This may sound weird or stupid, but I talked to a few teams about cutting costs and such and it may be as simple as the Oil Filter they are running. These low buck teams try and save a few bucks and run Fram Oil Filters, and they don't hold up and cause Engine issues. Something as simple as throwing WIX on there instead make a big difference. And I know for a fact a couple teams have told me about this issue. Could be the answer to their motor issues after the being soo fast out the gate.
These guys all have power and speed on the tour. It's the little things that keep these low buck teams from being competetive every night. The parts they use to "get by" or the way they mantain them less than others. Just an opinion. They try and cut costs where they can. Which may be why they nare fast for a few months and then out to lunch on others

I believe a great part of their success the latter part of this season is the team has jelled well having two great full time crew guys (Jake Ranzani and Joseph Sease(Jr)) that allowed Logan and Jacob to concentrate on their setups and keeping up with the changing of the track conditions as the night progresses. Having the cars better prepared with the addittional crew gives them greater confidence allowing them to both showcase their talent. I've personally noticed how much more at ease they both are now from when they started with the outlaws. I don't know if anyone else has taken notice that when the outlaws have gone to a track this year that they haven't been to for a few years ,or never been to, it evens the playing field so to speak and the Sharks have been the top of the class at those tracks. Good luck be with you the rest of the season, your Iowa family are very proud of you all. See you at PRI

Scruffy is bringing those kids up right. Not only are they learning how to drive by racing with the best sprint car drivers in the world on different tracks every night, but they're learning how to work on the cars and set them just like he did. Scruffy never worried about what the others had that he didn't. He went to work with what he had and did his best to make it fast. He became a Hall of Famer doing and his son and grandson are beginning to make their mark. I'd love to see someone put some serious money behind them but then again, who knows if it would make them better or not? I know that sounds crazy but we're talking about 2 kids who grew up under Scruffy. I think personally, the fact that he was a low buck guy who knew how to get so much out of so little is what made Scruffy great. I never talked to him but I'd be willing to bet the he took it personal to take what the high dollar teams would consider junk, and beat them with it. I get the vibe that his boys have the same attitude. I love the fact that Scruffy's legacy is living on through Jacob and Logan. Teams like Shark Racing are the life blood of sprint car racing. Sure I like seeing the big names and their pristine equipment but without the "little guys", we don't have a sport and its cool to see one of those teams giving the big boys all they can handle.
