I don't understand people wanting to get to the track at 7 and leave at 9! What's the rush? I want to see as much racing as possible!

If it's a local show..within an hour I don't mind either...3 hour drive home leaving at midnights makes for a long night after a week of work. If it is a very strong field I'm not as bothered. If it's 5-10 strong cars and 45 guys not having a chance makes for a long night of not as good racing.IMO but this is least of racing's problems. Just tired of those complaining that a track or race is poor because of lack of car's when really race might have been fantastic.

I understand what you are saying. I don't want 6 support classes at a WoO race, but I like to have enough sprint cars to have a C main!

Funny thing about car counts. 20-25 years ago, we really only had 2 classes of sprint cars. 410's, and 360's. Today, we have so many classes that we can not keep up with it anymore. I would put money down that we have as many sprint cars in the country as we did back then. The problem today is, teams do not travel as much as they use to (cost to travel has risen drastically) and there are so many different rule packages, that some teams cant travel to race anywhere else. Sure, most 410's, and ASCS 360 teams can travel. But a lot of them now run 305's, crates, or whatever else is out there. Every time someone gets a great idea to make racing affordable, and creates a new class, it divides the car count up just a little bit more.
