AMEN!
i give Steve a ton of credit for keeping Wilmot and the IRA going. He doesn't get enough credit for his efforts.
Please support Wilmot and the IRA! If not for Steve, there might not be any racing in our area. Then people will REALLY have a reason to complain?

AGREED. If not for him, we would most assuredly be stuck watching the Modifieds or other less exciting classes than Sprint Cars......He absolutely does NOT get the credit he deserves. We are lucky, very, very lucky to have Sprints so close. My buddy egras out west of Rockford is in heaven because Rockford Speedway is hosting the Outlaws. He has to drive a minimum of 2 hours to see Sprints ANYWHERE, and Rockford is in his backyard......

You people need to find something more fulfilling to do with your lives than rip Bill and/or the IRA on a message board. Best of luck to you.
|
No ripping on the IRA here. I watched the video of both IRA shows this past weekend at Manitowoc and Wilmont... and they were excellent! Also, Bill's half mile program has improved significantly with him running the NSL. His finish at I-80 is not fully representing what he is truly capable of.

NEWSFLASH: Bill Balog aka, the Alaskan Cheesehead and his domination, yes, domination of the IRA interupted by "outlaw" NSL venture.
To his credit, the 17B goes down to I-80 last night and comes in a stellar 19th in the "A" main. No idea if there were mechanicals or if he just got spanked. This again shows you can be the bully in a series where most of the guys are weekend warriors and being an "outlaw", where the big boys of said travelling series smile at declared "outlaws" when they come through the pit gate (TMac sure did).
The Alaskan cheesehead comes back to WI tonight to play in the cornfield (aka Wilmot). WIll be intesting to see how this goes, plenty of stout competition on a track that sometimes equalizes the big spenders (remember the 20M winning the Gumout feature)...
I didn't care for Dick Trickle, Scott Hansen, Dale Earnhardt or Joe Roe either. I'm an underdog kinda guy.
