I just got done scrolling through one of the sprint car fan pages on Facebook.  And after night 1, cries for the High Limit to change the format already!  LMFAO!   What needs to happen for everyone to be happy?  They gave everyone their beloved 4 car invert based on qualifying time, and then when Larson lands on the pole through the invert, they act surprised he ran away with each race on night 1.  Night 2 was a completely different story, but somehow after the first night, it was already screwed up.  I can't take the stupidity.

Inverts or no inverts, you're gonna have tracks where it's a conveyor belt.  You're gonna have tracks where changing surfaces lead to some great racing.  And as the last 2 nights proved, it can happen on the same track, with 2 different sets of conditions.  On last night's track, whoever hit the setup right was able to get to the front.  Some nights, track position is everything---as seen on night 1.  (which in all honesty was earlier in the afternoon of night 2)  When is everyone gonna sit back, enjoy the race, and realize not every single night is going to be built around your attention span?  Does everyone need a reminder of some of the snoozers we've seen over the past 40 years before we see the good ones that were scattered in here and there?   Ridiculous.

In the end the race teams will  decide whether or not foremat suits them. They will vote by showing up or not showing up. For me I have never liked locking the first however many from the night before into the dash. You want to give them guarenteed starting spots at the back if they have trouble and don't qualify I am ok with that. I would also discourage crying on tv about no drawing the front row of the dash.

I am sorry and upset that Brad Sweet never wone night #2 feature.  Really I thought nite 2 feature was very good.  Some people hate any change.  It is just to much for thier brain to adjust to.

Other than the Knoxville Nationals and the Kings Royal I don't care about the format at all.

Dude, we all get it.  You hate inverts.  This horse has been beyond beaten to death.  Saying the invert format is a failure after one night is like another guy saying the HL has better cars after one series.  I don't think anyone on here has ever said "Inverts will be the end of bad races (or follow the leader or whatever else)".  You don't like inverts and other people do.  It's ok to have a difference of opinion, isn't that what you were asking for in another thread?  Not everyone needs to think like you or me, in fact I don't want to live in a world where everyone thinks like me.

I'm just guessing you spend a fair amount of time on Facebook?  And I'm guessing you like to read the comments on news stories?  I'm going to give you a little piece of advice I've learned about Facebook.  Stay out of the comments.  Here we have Strawser and wingedspeed sometimes.  On Facebook there are hundreds of millions of Strawsers.  They do the same thing, they form an opinion (which is totally cool) and they won't let it go.  They will NEVER look at things through a different lens or perspective.  And then they will continue to say the same shit over and over again just to get a rise out of people.  And the most fucked up part of all of it is, it works.  It's been pointed out on here by many people that if we want Strawser to leave all you have to do is ignore him but people continue to respond to him.  And you can't tell me he's not doing it just for this reason.  From what I've seen here nobody likes him or shows him any respect but he keeps coming back, you can't tell me he's not doing it for a reaction.  Now multiply that by 100 million and there's Facebook for you.  From what I've seen in the Facebook comments, the loudest ones are the least intelligent and nobody goes on Facebook to comment positive things on news posts.  The social media world is all about negativity.  For example the first Super Bowl I remember actually following and paying attention to was in 1992 when Dallas played Buffalo, I think there was nine turnovers by Buffalo and the final score was 52-17.  Last Sunday there was a Super Bowl that went deep into overtime and up until the last play, I had no idea who was going to win.  But all I've seen on Facebook is how a player interacted with his coach, how bad the halftime show was, how a quarterback and receiver were yelling at eachother and who was in a god damned press box that had no affect on the game.  Nobody is talking about how that's one of the greatest Super Bowl games ever played.  If you go to a race or watch a race and enjoy it, why do you car what someone else thought of it?  Why continue to have the same argument with people?  You're not going to change their mind.  You will never see everyone happy because the only ones that seem to say anything are the ones who want to bitch.  In fact if there was nothing to bitch about, they probably wouldn't be happy either.

Also if you want to have the argument about the stupidity of people on Facebook's opinion, why not have it there?

Finallly,an intelligent poster here.  The difference is tha"the oldest show  on dirt", thats all they know and thats that. High Limit OWNED AND RUN BY 30 SOMETHINGS. They are young and intelligent, race wise, tech wise, and they put that series into being because they are the best at what they do,  racers for racers for the good of the sport.  Good call on FB, same old geezers complaining like a bunch of old women,  They cannot adjust to the future, and always be living in the past,  They make that choice, rest is history and they will never change but just be grumpy old men living in the past, never to be part of the future, just grumpy old men with nothing better to do...

Ascot was the greatest of all time..

West Capital wasn't half bad either..

Life is good...

Only in racing are people not allowed to share their opinions. I think the format is fine except for the top 4 in a prelim not having to time trial and only having to qualify in the heat to get a dash spot. That's like the old WoO method they got rid of over a decade ago. Am I "bitching" because I don't like that aspect? Not really, I am just pointing out something I would change. But according to the sprint car scolds, I am not allowed to have an opinion unless I am an owner of a series, race team or track.....

C'mon Nancy, you're still allowed to have an opinion, you just posted one. But No, your opinion won't matter much to race teams, tracks, or the people who have the most skin in the game.

Untrue Karen, merely having an opinion is threatening behavior to some in the industry.

Sound advice.  If not for my need to have a Facebook account for work, I'd already be off it.

FYI---I enjoyed every single race last week from WoO to HL.  No complaints at all.  Could there have been better racing some nights?  Sure.  Is it anyone's (or any format's) fault.  No.  It's too bad we can't just debate which guy outperformed which guy, etc. etc.  Instead, it's all about who got screwed by a format, who got screwed by the official, who got favoritism from the official, who got screwed by the track conditions, blah blah blah.  Exhausting really.
