The financial penalty seems about right to me. The 500 points and 4 races seems excessive but that being said that would put the fear of WoO in me to not try it again or the first time. And I guess that's the point. So, how much of an advantage can you achieve but this trick?  I assume it softens the tire which would also cause it to wear out sinner, yes or no?

Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

It was quite possible to be limited to a financial penalty.

At Knoxville a guy bought a tire from dealer.  Track said tire had been treated and DQ car.  Dealer said he exchanged tire with another team to get diff. stagger.  Team said they never softened tire.  Dealer will no longer exchange tires.  You buy it and it is yours.  Another team needed a tire in a hurry.  Car next to them said he had one he would sell.  They mounted it and was ready to push off.  Guy come running over and said we sold you the wrong tire, we need it back.  Was t0 latr as they were pushing car off.  Luck was they never checked tire for dopeing.

And the race team at Knoxville threw the tire dealer at Knoxville (a good guy) under the bus. They first said someone spilled soda pop on the tire, then changed it to someone put softener on it in the pits after the race. Then said they got it from the dealer in exchange for a tire that did not roll out to the size they wanted. Something funny when you give 3 different excuses and in the end trow a good man under the bus & ruin a good thing for every team in the pit area.

That same team was also juicing go kart tires in their shop (which was legal in the kart classes they were doing it for) for a kart. So it's entirely possible some spilled on the floor.............needless to say there's always more to evey story.

Why not, just do away with the tire dopping rule?  By dopping the tire, to make it softer, therefore improving traction, also affects the life of the tire and may not last for the entire feature.  That's the chance the teams would make.

McFadden is a contender every night. and generally moves up. Dont know much about tire doping but do know its legal in Karting and changed the sport making it more expensive. There has been accusations of tire doping traction control, big motors and use to be fuel enhancement but seldom proven. I dont think they look to hard as its a bigger deal when something shows up.They all laugh about what older racers would do to get an edge.  Traction control was never proven at Knoxville as Cappy saId lifetime ban. Nitrous hidden in hard to find places traction control and big motors have been found. Different deal but Richard Petty 200th win was full of rule violations with the President Reagan present which was a bigdeal. The large fines and points deductions in NASCAR are excessive but trying to keep them all the same. Years ago they has the ASCS 360 head deal rather than enforce it they just ruled to let them be o

Have you considered that you guys are sheltered overweight bums who could benefit from making excuses for others if you cared half as much about your reject Port Royal, Lincoln, Gobrecht-empathisizing selves?

If we ingested as much dust as you Ohio people do from your junk ass top soil track surfaces, we probably wouldn't be as hungry and by proxy, wouldn't eat as much as we do. So that at least explains the overweight thing.

I live in Ohio, and will say fiXXXer that you are spot on concerning our dustbowls. The worst surfaces in the country. You guys eat good because you have the best potato chips, whoopie pies, and pot pie (the real thing - ham, potatoes, and homemade noodles) in the entire country - and I'm jealous as hell! LOL!

WoO Better get in the habit of tubing the motors. Of the top five finishers in the feature. and one or two other random cars from the feature. Every night. If they're gonna take tire samples. It better start tubing motors too. You might be surprised what they find. And every once in awhile, go a little further in checking. the boring stroke. Especially when it's a big dollar show. This goes for High limit shows too. And by the way I'm not kidding.  Glen Murra

there's no integrity in Aussie culture. i know from a reliable source the majority of traction control units sold go to Australia. This shouldn't be a surprise to anyone
