I'm not from the area usually hit WG,Port Royal, lincoln couple times a summer. Would this be a good show worth the 500 mile ride? Expected car count?

Depending on the weather.....it will be the last 410 race of the year. Most of the top Pa Posse teams will be there, but it is always a crap shoot of who will show up but with $10 grand to win I would expect a decent field with a few invaders (Shark Racing, Brent Marks, etc). BAPS has done a terriic job renovating the old joint.

I concur with btgexpress. Should be a good field with a mixture of locals, PA based WoO teams & maybe and some invaders from other areas. BAPS has done an amazing job on the facility. I don't think I know of another track who has made such extensive renovations in such a small amount of time & they're still hard at work on the upgrades. Just 3 short years ago, it was about as dumpy and run down as it gets. Todd Fisher (the previous owner) was a controversial figure at times but from what people associated with the speedway have told me, he did the best be could with what he had. He was the dirt track promoter equivalent of a low buck racer. He just never had the money to do anything more than what he did. That said, it's great to see Scott Gobrecht & his team are quickly transforming it into a first class facility. I wish they'd get the accolades that Port Royal does because they're just as deserving if not moreso. I'd say make the trip if the weather cooperates. I've never seen a bad race there regardless of track conditions.

If the weather is decent I predict there will be a decent field of cars. The crowd will be big also getting their last dose of 410’s of the season. Get there early as it will fill up fast.

I was there 3 wks ago. I thought it was a great show, even the heats were all good, was a non time trial show. My only thing this time of yr , i wished was a 1 or 2pm show. It will turn into a night race. DRESS WARM.

Still whining cause you got dirty at a dirt track??? Don't drive the 20 miles then. We've read ur criticism and that's it. Move on. It's the last race of the season. I encourage anyone who wants to see one more race before winter to come out and support the speedway. This guy will never be happy. Come early and dress warm. Its going to be a great day. As for you beezr2002 enjoy the cold winter pouting about a little dust at the end of the front stretch. Maybe next year you can find a different seat that suits ya. Thanks to Susky for running this event and paying big money!!!

Couldn't agree more. One last hurrah before the winter time blues set in. I've always enjoyed this show. It's usually chilly but there's always a good field and it's always a good race. Definitely dress warm.

As a Philly fan, those letters mean something to me. They spell a word that Moses Malone used three times in succession to predict what the 76ers playoff run was going to be like to end the 1982-83 season.

Brilliant! One of my favorite seasons of watching hoops for almost 60 years...
I was living in a small town in the Rockies at the time, played on a Rec League team sponsored by a bar, mostly East Coast guys, split between Celtic & Philly fans. we usually watched at the "bah", but for this one (Playoffs), we met at one guys house, NO Celtics DBags allowed.... good move!

Wow! I can assume what this means. So sad you went there. Maybe halfway thru the winter you can stop sucking on your thumb, grow up, mature a little, and then speak in complete sentences. I wish you well on that, meanwhile I'll converse with adults and enjoy my, as you say, end of the year hooorah. Stay warm.
Moses was almost correct with FO,FO,FO. That was a great season to watch the 76ers. Miss those days

WOW!! I think you can more than assume what I meant. Not real sad that I went there unless you are the very sensitive type which I have learned about through diversity training. The OP asked if it would be worth driving 500 miles to see a race, I gave my opinion as did others. You jumped on my shit about my opinion, WOW!!! I cant believe you went there, maybe you are the sad one that can't handle other peoples real life experiences and opinions. Don't worry about how I handle my winters, I do just fine and I will stay warm. Are you the same PIA that used to post on IOW? IF so, you might want to look into some meds.....just sayin....Love and Elvis are everywhere.......

I wonder why they wouldn't have scheduled this race this past weekend? I don't think any track raced. Mid Nov. is always very iffy as a far as weather.

The show was always successful when it was run after the World Finals. Two years ago they tried it the week before the World Finals and it didn't go over as well and last year they moved it even earlier. I'm glad to see it back to where it belongs.
