Ive been keeping an eye on I-55 Raceway this year and due to flooding they haven’t raced yet which is crazy. They’re scheduled to open Saturday and i assume the Ironman weekend is still on but does anyone know the status currently?

Ironman is a tremendous weekend so I’m hoping everything is still good to go with the racetrack.

from what i seen, everything is a go for saturday as long as the water levels dont rise anymore. so i would assume this would be the case for the ironman as well. fingers crossed no more  r-word!!

They plan to race on Saturday.  Highway 61/67 and Herky-Horine Road have been open for a couple of days. The St. Louis gage on the Mississippi River is currently at 33.2 feet and falling.  The current forecast is 32.3 feet on Saturday at 1 pm.  At 34.0, there should be no water on the pit road; although, one could drive on the road with a foot or more water at the low spots.  The current extended forecast goes to July 25 when it is forecasted to be at 25.8 feet.
