You should check out Indiana Open Wheel forum. Usually everbody there is enthusiastic & positive. This time they all hated it, vast majority left before it was over

I was there. It was so bad it was comical. We left after the heats. I felt bad for the corner workers.

I didn't watch, or follow twitter last night. Curious why it was so bad? Pictures I did see of the track looked to be very small. With the comment about the corner workers, I assume there was a lot of cautions?

I had low expectations with the event because of the track having to be built over nite. I figured the track surface would be bad but actually it was decent. What made it a bad race were the amount of cautions. I dont think I saw 3 consecutive laps more than once. They had a berm around the inside and with the bottom being the only groove they would hit the berm and spin. Most got hung up on the berm. Poor corner workers would have to drag them off I'm sure they are either in a hot tub today or in the hospital suffering from exhaustion

Obviously they didn't watch the race! Couldn't hardly ever get 1 lap in before caution after caution after caution. Lost track of how many times they sprinkled water on track and then scraped the dirt off the flat track. Cmon be honest it was not a race at all. Started at 5 and went well past 1 am for 2 classes. I'm just saying poor prep. Great idea but wrong sized track, no banking, and at most 3 consecutive laps of racing. Proper planning in the future and they will have a decent event but that was a flop

I've seen some harsh comments but for the most part, people are actually being decent about voicing their criticism which is rare these days. It was definitely a flop. I followed along periodically through a couple of folks who were broadcasting on periscope and that track was way too small for anything beyond Karts pretty much and even they were having some trouble. It's a great idea and we should all appreciate the fact that there are still people willing to stick their necks out and try something like this. Promoting even a well known track like Knoxville is harder than most folks can imagine so I can't even fathom what it must be like trying to put something like this together. Hopefully they get a much more suitable venue where they can construct a good and racey track and if they do that, this event could become huge especially considering how it coincides with the PRI show. It's a bit of a haul for me and there's no way in hell I was taking the risk driving out there from Central Pa with it being the inaugural event because I had a feeling there would be some bullshit (always is when trying to get something like this off the ground) but if they could somehow get this moved to Lucas Oil Stadium or something, I'd consider checking it out one of these years.

Most I seen as I was following Hoseheads main page twitter was drivers saying things & some pretty funny 1's at that. But by God if you are just a paying fan you'd better suck it up butter cup ! You have no right to spew.
