Been posted on here several times, check the front page of tidbits as I made mention of this.
This will be a big event for the champ sprints. Was informed on here that both Robert and Shane Sellers would be there, Frank Dittman told me Friday night that he was going to be there and he informed that word has it alot of SFS regulars will be in Ada for this show. I am looking at 35 cars for sure.
Yet there is another track in the state that is going to host a champ sprint special paying $1000 to win and $100 to start the feature. And it is not an Edwards track. Stay tuned to the front page as when I update it, I will mention it.

Dadgummit, you ruined a chance for the champ sprint guys and fans to read the front page of my website to find out more information. Geez.
But yepsir, you are correct. They are replacing the pro/streets as they will not be running the Clinton Winter Nationals.

I don't think anyone can argue Chris Burns. But.....................
anyhow.........I think you have to consider Jamie Passmore and/or Mike Goodman as they are lights out almost anywhere they go. Passmore went down to East Bay Florida and did really good there against a field of 80+ sprints. He's just good.
Really there are about 10 guys who couldn't be argued against - maybe more. Jennings, Peters, Sellers, and Joe Wood Jr. Gastineau and Owens did not have a very good season, but their real good too. None of us like to agree with it........but Michelle Decker is not bad in her own right. Neighbors, Kenny Walker, Danny Smith, Gary Flatt, and there are others. All are really good at SFS.........the true question is......which are good outside of SFS? Burns don't race anywhere else much.......but did make a strong showing at the last OCRS/Ada race (he won). Danny Jennings and Larry Neighbors both run strong at other tracks around the region. Of course all of the Tulsa guys are good at different tracks too. Sellers is as well. But there are not many SFS regulars that run a lot outside of OKC. Sellers, Neighbors, Jennings sometimes, Cody Whitworth does too, as does Eddie Guinn. not to say others are not.......but these fellas are great. They don;t have to race outside of OKC........but they choose to and thats great. cheer em whereever they go.

OKCFan12.....I totally agree with you.
Burns happens to be one of my favorites. Jennings, Sellers & all the regulars that run at SFS are really good, but when I go to other tracks for events such as ASCS and TNT Bandits, there's always alot of the OCRS guys. And when it comes to Passmore, he always seems to be at every event. He's a great driver, very competitive and very approachable when it comes to being fan friendly. Hey....when it comes right down to it, there's some really good racing around these parts!!!!! Not to mention some of the BEST drivers in the Southwest!!!!
I think I just talked myself into going to the OCRS race in Ada instead of the ASCS Sooner Regional at Creek.

I dont think I can think of just one. As far as Burns he is a good driver but I would like to see him venture out a little. My personal favorites are Robert Sellers and Gary Owens.

I know we are voting for the best two barrell driver in the state but how many of the the guys mentioned in the above posts are just two barrell drivers? Almost all of them drive a Super Sprint or a ASCS car or even a 410 car. So my vote would go to Frank Dittman or Eddie Guinn or somebody that drives just a 2 Barrell car. Just my opinion and don't get me wrong I wouldn't mind haveing a Burns, Sellers, Passmore, or a Walker driving my car

When you take the champ wackers out of the field. Frank Dittman proved he is the best true 2-bbl driver.

If those car owners wouldn't bring in the champ wackers to drive their car and have others that have potential but need a break then we wouldn't see as many champ wackers in that division.

i agree with frank being a great driver in the 2-barrell class, but if sellers was to drive his own car in the city instead of kenny butlers he would almost be unbeatable. i mean look at what he has done at lawton this season in his own car

great point...........I don't think Burns would dominate in the #1 car as much if R. Sellers was in his own white and red #4. Who knows.........maybe next season we'll get to see.

You're absolutly right tilly. A GOOD driver will race at other tracks and do some winning as well as his home track. Take Lawton and Meeker for example. Those 2 along with SFS are so much dis-similar that it takes not only skill in driving but knowing how to set a car up for the different surfaces and turn radiuses. Burns only runs SFS cause that's all he knows and can compete at.

I agree. Kenny Butler's car is a piece of crap. Its amazing he did as good as he did in it. He should get out of that deal as fast as possible.
