Ask, Jeff, John Zemaitis, Tommy Carl and the rest of the winning Zemco crew if they consider themselves a Central Pennsylvania sprint car team. The answer will be YES.
|
You got it Hosehead, also don't forget PeeWee. Shepp and crew 1Z also have the points lead at Williams Grove.
Lets not get stuck on STUPID

He's leading the points at The Grove - I'd say that makes him Posse.
Shep knows how to play a crowd as well as anyone, he likes to wear the black hat and have fun. He was Posse when he started his career, he was not Posse when he was traveling - oh wait, I thought Posse never left the porch - and now he's running local again = current POSSE.

not many sprint car tracks in Maryland...similar situation in Iowa...hhhhhmmmmm, makes you wonder why Shepard drives a PA car and runs PA tracks all year.
quoted in the Lincoln Speedway Program "running locally is the toughest thing I have tried to do in my life" - Jeff Shepard 2007
hats of to the Zemco organization...ignore the sour grapes from the usual suspects.
OKC format discussion: we invert 12 here...and you are complaining that 8 is too aggressive?

I agree Sprintfan16.. these yankees in PA will do whatever it takes to keep their retarted "posse" name in front of people even that don't belong just so that they are not FORGOTTEN about.. what a shame. And what did they win exactly? It's not SATURDAY yet.. Thats the only time it really counts right? They look and act like a Posse of Weiners.. Their race tracks are one grooved and all suck, they accomplish exactly nothing all year long, and someone from Maryland wins a qualifying race they act like they did something.. PLEASE... I thought Shepard retired, this is the first I have heard of him in nearly two years.
|
Looks as if you are very bitter about a POSSE victory at KNOXVILLE. As far as tracks in PA only being one grooved, that is a little far fetched. They are sometimes one grooved, but that is usually daytime shows and also when the outlaws are in town. And as far as the tracks sucking, when is the last time your hometrack had a $30,000 to win, $1000 to start, unsanctioned race? I'm guessing it probably never happened, but I could be wrong. I'm not sure what you meant by our drivers accomplishing nothing all year long but if that's the case, I guess no sprint drivers anywhere ever accomplish anything because our drivers do pretty much the same thing every weekend as any others & that is engaging in the most exciting racing in all of motorsports. Don't be so bitter, there is still a lot of racing to go at The Nationals & I'm sure the outlaws will make themselves known before it's all over, but as a fan from PA, I am proud to see one of our weekly competitors win. He beat some of the best anywhere and should be congratulated. WAY TO GO JET!!!

Thanks Alan for clarifying that Shepard IS Posse.
How about that Jet? Don't count him out Saturday night regardless of where he starts. It wasn't long ago, 3-4 years, when he started 14th in the Nationals and finished 3rd. This guy can pass!!
And you never count out Stevie Smith. If he finished 4th in his heat instead of 5th, than he would be better than 3rd in points. He has looked good all year and very possibly would have won the big money at Port Royal last weekend if it weren't for engine problems.
And to think most of the Posse don't qualify until tonight . . . Hodnett, Dewease, Rahmer, Michael, M. Smith, Wolfe, Stutts, etc. I'd expect at least two of these guys to be in the top 20 in points overall after tonight.

Won the battle..... maybe..... appears to me that Paul McMahon is leading the points for the night, which is the most IMPORTANT result..... Some people's kids.... LOL
|
The $12,000 spends a little better than points.
I also guess Nelligan better add Knoxville to the list of tracks that the Posse has "home field" advantage at...lol.
Three years in a row baby! Posse! Posse! Posse!

Is it just me, or is Jeff giving us the "shocker" signal in the group photo?

Yeah Drak, I can't believe how quickly Posse crew chief Ricky Warner has managed to start turning that deal around...lol. The guy is on top of the game. Lord, I apologize...

Congrats to Shep Dog and ALL the Zemco team for their big win. How many times did I get pounded on the Grove board defending what I used to call the best racer from that area, too many? To those in this forum that have done nothing but hammer on him in the past, where are you predictions about his early demise from that team, today, lmao. Phony is phony and we have a couple of the best in the biz in this post.
Job well done, hats off to ol' email buddy Zemco1fan, phase one is complete, good luck the rest of the way. Take It Easy.....

Definitely giving the shocker there...lol...Congrats to Jeff and the Zemco team...that car has been on a rail all year and may be the most consistent car in PA all year...next to that 21 that enjoys starting in the 20's and finishing in the top 5...
Good luck to the Posse on night #2

Cubic, he ain't Posse now never was, but IS driving a Posse car. Heck, he once won 5 times on the road on the W of O tour, that about confirms it. I also saw him in Victory Lane at an Outlaw show in Florida loudly declare he was NOT PA Posse but WAS, Maryland Posse, lmao. Your boys should have a big night tonite, they always do, early on! Then Saturday will come along and a severe case of reality will put you guys back under the porch until your beating at the National Open, yawn. Take It Easy....
PS Tell me more about your predictions of doom for him from earlier this year, lol.....
PPS I will also predict that he won't go backwards nearly as fast as the previous opening night winner the last couple of years, in Sat's A-Main....

last night, BillW announced on ADN that they would be joined via internation phone connection by the self-aggrandized Mike Nelligan who is missing his first Kville Nationals since the beginning of time.
and then another no show...maybe someone send you a bootleg DVD of Die Hard 2?

I'll definitely concede that I didn't think Shepard would stick around very long as usual...no one did. They must be letting him call the shots...lol? Funny how I still remember vocally wishing Hamilton would put him in the #77 however, and moreover I really wanted him to run Lincoln this year. Shepard in the #77 versus Rahmer at Lincoln would have been heaven on earth...lol.
Better watch out tonight Nelligan... Your worst nightmare might just come true! Sweep!
