I did not think the All Stars ran a very good show  at Bubba.  They could not help  working in wet track, but once the track was ready they dicked around time after time with delays of any action.  They know they are way behind in program so why not put it on at a faster pace.  Also why did all of the WOO cars not race after the hot laps.  Was it because WOO would not let them, or they thought track was not good enough for a  non point race that would mean nothing ?

Why tear up equipment already whenever you've got a WOO championship to contend for??

Plus, on top of that, last nights show paid $3k to win. Def not worth it to some of these high dollar teams. People were ripping on the drivers all night. But it wasn't their equipment out on that track. The last lap of the feature is how the track would normally be for hot laps. It was a sloppy mess

Real race cars don't have fenders...

I wouldn't be surprised if they don't show up, considering Bubba took to twitter to run his fat mouth as usual.  I see a lot of people praising getting the race in, but in my opinion it was one of the worst races I've seen in a while.  Announcers that can't pronounce the names of nationally known drivers. Tow trucks that take insanely too long to get a spun out car off the track.  Three heat races that took nearly an hour to stage and run.  If I were associated with last night's all around mess, I'd be appolgizing to everybody, not calling somewhere around A THIRD the field that bailed by the end of qualfiying @ssholes on twitter.

Sometimes it's just what your stuck with.  They don't run the show at all the fans are mad for not racing on a sunny day, I for one am glad they tried to get it in, even with the conditions.  No ill will towards the teams that didn't run, thankful for the ones that stayed.  The WoO teams were probably only running that event as a test/tune type deal, especially for that purse money.  Hopefully tonight they'll have a much better track to work with, combined with the extra purse, should be a much better event.

I truly doubt you see any if what Bubba told them," if they didn't race they could not run today either"

I know fans want to see the best and I understand that.  But, as a fan ask yourself this... Have you ever trashed a car on a night when the race means nothing to you? Have you ever rebuild a car in a hotel parking lot? Not fun.   And, would you like to do all of this and spend 15-20k that you did not have to spend on the first race of the new season?

Bubba is a promoter that saw big names pulling out on questionalbe track conditions.  Would he have felt the same if a couple of local guys you never heard of from Ohio, PA, Indiana and so on had decided not to run or was he shooting off because it was the WoO guys?

But hey, its a new year and lets go racin boys!

Just my $.02

I have no problem with any team pulling out when the track conditions are depolarable (same thing happened at the Front Row Challenge a few years back when all the big dogs were there).

Rained 4" @ 3:00 PM and hotlaps started at midnight and track was STILL a one lane wet mess when the feature took the checker.

Hopefully track conditions are better tonight for everyone involved.

Remember, sometimes those same drivers/teams are FORCED to run an event in just as deplorable conditions when it's the sanctioning body they follow running the race (and others pack up and leave instead on those nights).

The main thing is that everyone got through the night SAFE as tracks that are narrow, too wet, and slimy tend to cause major accidents.

In situations like this everyone gets screwed over. The fans, competitors, track crews, and promoters. Track crews have to work work miracles to get the track into race shape after rain, competitors worry about safety and equipment, and the fans do not get a good show put on which make the promoter lose money (the fact that it happned to Bubba though makes me smile bc I cannot stand him).

I am normally the fan that always wants the drivers to show up and race and put on a good show no matter what the conditions are but in situations like these it is just not possible with that much rain and limited amount of resources. I do not blame any driver for pulling out of the competition if they feel like it was unsafe to run.

Back in the seventies,  I was at Lernerville for a weekly show.  It was a night before a $2,000 to win at Eldora.  Yes, it was long enough ago that $2,000 to win was a BIG payout.  When I saw one of the " original " outlaws in the pits I told him I was surprised to see him there and figured he would be saving his car for Eldora the next evening.   He looked at me,  smiled and said he was a racer and racers belong at the track.

Remember this was a black top track, never removed just put dirt on top so when he scrapped the dirt it just went to wetter material because surface water never really drained out. If it was an outlaw race they would have run

If it was an outlaw race it would have been cancelled when it rained 4 inches.

I sat @ Spencer IA in September for 4 hours due to poor track conditions (they over-watered) at an Outlaw show (and many others have sat @ Dodge City multiple times when rain has gone through).

All sanctioning bodies are guilty of running on track conditions that are deplorable (either way to wet, but they refuse to cancel or way too dry and one lane rubberfest).

And then not rescheduled.  And then you would have to chase them around to get your refund.  Or they might tell you you're paid forward.  Love that one.

From my understanding as to what I have been reading, ALL outlaw teams have packed up and headed to Volusia.  Kind of doesnt surprise me.  Again this is just my understanding.

Just got a report from Ocala, FL. All Outlaw teams have left for Volusia. Shark Racing is racing tonight at Bubba Raceway.

From what I have seen on Twitter this afternoon there are already cars in the pits tonight that were not even there last night. I am sure there will be a full field that will put on a great show. I say support the guys who show up to race. I'll be watching again tonight on Xsan with a foot of snow out my door with minus temperatures!

No, that isn't speculation.  That is what happened last year at Lernerville.

The outlaw guys did what they had to do.  I don't blame them one bit.  They're thinking long term, not 1 unsanctioned night.  Does it suck for the fans??  Sure does.  I used to like Bubba, but after his divorce and twitter hissy fit then, and now this....shows what type of a person he is.  Hopefully things work out for both sides.
