What a great team to have back! Always one of my favorites in the pits. Always a threat to win and kept it fun also.

I agree with Nancespeedequipment1N. Joey has had good sucess with Fisher Racing Engines in the past and he and James have always been good freinds. They have a Kings Royal win together and the fisher racing engine gang are still producing some really good motors.

I'd say from Dan's company, Motter Equipment out of Minnesota. Very successful in the sales of mining equipment all over the world.

So,I guess just screw Haud.Nice!

maybe motter was helping haud just so he could slowly get back in the game. i wouldnt think he was screwing him......and who knows, maybe he will stay on as a sponsor for hauds team.

I knew Motter was from MN, but had no idea he makes mining equipment. I really have never knew much about him. By the time I started going to WoO races the Ecowater car was off the trail. If I remember right Wolfgang had some runs in it after that in Knoxville. I don't recall ever actually getting to see the 71M race in person. I also didn't realize he was working with Huad. Thanks for the insight.

I don't like yellow but they still looked great.

Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

Until a Ford or Mopar can produce on a touring circuit...and in particular the WoO...I doubt anyone seriously contending for WoO the top prize will gamble on them. Just an opinion.

Multiple WoO championships, Knoxville Nat wins and 14 year old track records that still stand isn't producing????

One of my favorite racing memories that I have is being there when Kenny Jacobs won the Historical Big One in 1994. The whole operation was so nice and really nice people - all of them. The Motters are from the same area as one of my aunts and just up the road from Virginia, MN which is where all of my mother's family is from. The fact that the Motters ended up in sprint car racing is remarkable because you don't see much sprint car racing in that area unfortunately which is, in addition to the fact that the area freezes solid for what seems like 6 months out of the year, a good part of why I don't live there :-).

Ahh, let the bench racing and silly season begin, so, we had a heated debate(ya I know, elections do that to race fans even) my wife is a Saldana fan, she has mildly became a heavy sprint fan over the past few years we have been married , anyhow, the 71m was a familiar digit before her interest (prior to getting hitched to me) thus, she doesnt know thier history, she somehow finds the powers that be in TSR and KKR a typical race team, this is devistating news to her, going to a smaller/unfamiliar team, to me, I just became a bigger Saldana fan! we dont know the insights of the team , but I perspectively stated a typical newly formed team would feel out the begining of the season , see how things progress and choose to follow the tour or bail? , givin sponsorship, owner, crew, ect What is thier contract ? and or, will they continue the season regardless ? Ill be standing in line In FL in Feb to purchase my 71m Saldana shirt no doubt about it, Im hoping for good things..

I've always loved this car. It'll be awesome to see it back out on the track. Best of luck to these guys. Something about this makes me think that Joey will be bad fast next year.

On a side note, one of the worst looking sprint crashes I've ever seen happened with the 71M at Williams Grove when contact on the front stretch resulted in Kenny Jacobs doing his best effort to tear down the catch fence on the inside of the racetrack. It was a miracle that nobody was hurt.

Joey Saldana and Dan Motter = Class and more Class. One of the nicest, smartest most respected shoes in the sport teaming up with one of the nicest, smartest man in the business world. Success and success should very well = more success. All the very best to two old good friends from my past, I can't wait to see how this story unfolds.....

Im not real familiar with Motter Racing but by all Ive heard he is a pleasure to work for and always supplies the best equipment money can buy so with Joey having more say in what goes on with the car Id say he WILL INDEED be bad fast next year! Cant wait to see him put a hurting on the KKR team! Saldana is one of the smoothest drivers you will ever see!
