Clincher was owned by Dale Cox out of NC. I'm pretty sure that I bought the last one ever built, that was in 2004. I believe he sold the fixtures to a guy in Florida, but im not sure. I still have a bent chassis with a useable front clip if that is what you are looking for.
They were pretty unique cars, and they required some special parts(rear arms, shock and panhard sliders etc...). What specifically did you want to know?

We just purchased a 1 race old car with no damage. Did anyone ever make this chassis work well? What were the positives and negatives if so?
Thanks

Jimmy Kite drove one for a while and was able to win a few races with it. The quality of the car was great, the welding was first class. My car seemed to be better with relatively soft bars in the rear( 1000 and 1025). The only real issue that I had with the car was that it didn't respond to changes very well. Big changes were needed in order to feel any difference. It seemed to be better suited to short bullrings and tacky racetracks, we always struggled on the dry slicks. Hope this helps! Good Luck!

Thanks for all your help. Any more info would be appreciative. You are correct the Welds are top notch. The time it took to create the bumper mounts and tabs etc. are noticable and good quality too.

We ran it and won our heat by 7-8 car links. That got us the pole position. We stayed consistent with a 8 car lead in the feature for 10 laps and had to pull off with a fuel problem that arrived. We do not know who made this chassis or if its the so called "clincher" but it is sure cool so far.
