The Velocity Motorsports team visited Hanford Speedway for the 7th time this year with there heads held high. After coming off a good performance in Ventura. With the track going dry slick in one & two and wet in three & four Myles piloted the number 7 machine into 7th quick for qualifying out of 25 cars. Starting in the back of his heat Myles and the crew new they had to be right on with the set up. Myles drove up to 2nd by the third lap and finished the. But going across the scales the winner was disqualified for being to light which gave the win to Myles and the Velocity Motorsports team. Finally the team was in the dash again and going to be starting on the outside pole. When the green dropped for the dash Myles took off from the field and did not look back at the end he had almost a straight-away lead and won his first dash. So for the main Myles was set to start on the pole with Davey Pombo on the outside of him. When the green dropped Myles had a great start but going in to turn two was spun-out by another driver and then collecting six cars into him. With the front-end broken and both tire in the rear flat the crew and Myles had no choice but to go to the trailer. But dont worry cause Myles Bishop and the Velocity Motorsports team will be back in action on July 7th with the SCRA at Hanford Speedway.

Great to see this kid getting better. Unfortunately it looks like there PR is taking a shot at Davey Pombo. Also heard that they thought the 21 got into him. Video shows that Myles spun all by himself. NO ONE helped him. I think he was pumped up as he should be but to say that he was spun-out by another car is not a fair statement. This kid is fast maybe a little to fast at this point. I think he as a lot of talent but the patience is not there yet. Best of luck.

I don't see where anyone said that Pombo or Murphy spun the 7 car. Maybe you can read more than what was said. Do you have a copy of the video to back that statement up? I am sure the 7 team would like to view it.

Have not seen the video, however from our seats in turn one we all thought he lost it by himself.

Well, Davey's name was mentioned and in the very next sentenced it says that he was spun out by another driver. To me it looks like Davey is to be accused. I read what was said. Maybe you should word it different. Out of 26 cars Davey's name was the only one mention. Thats all
Mike I saw the same thing as well. So did the officials. Thanks for chiming in.

I think the best PR to describe his season so far is the saying "In order to finish first, first you must finish!". That's about the nicest thing I can say....

I was just wondering if you can read it say Pombo started next to him. And you guys must be blind. Because even Davey Pombo said that the 91 car jumped Murphy's tire and ran into the back of the 7. And besides that how could you even see when it was so dusty you could nnot even see the person sitting next to you.

Uh, Marcum didn't run over Murphy until after the 7 car spun in front of the entire field & caused everyone to check up. Maybe you could see it better from the pit stands, yeah right.

The official write up from SCRA even says the 7 spun in front of the entire field. Guess everybody got it wrong except for the sevens family & friends lol.

that is the same guy the wrote something about everyone and i mean everyone except Myles. I mean come on if you are going to mention who is going to be at the track then better say everyone. And the write up sucks because what about Myles pulling away in the dash. I mean come on. Myles even said him self that he felt someone bump him. And explain the red pain on the bumper. No nevermind i will be the bigger man and walk away from the horse ****!

Your right Matt, and everyone else at the track that night was wrong, happy now? Btw, you think the red paint on the bumper could have possibly happened after he stopped on the track in front of 21 other cars?
I have nothing against Myles, or you for that matter. The track was very slick through one & two and he lost it. Could have happened to anyone. Just don't think you need to make excuses for him. Sh*t happens, enough said.

Guys thank you for some of the compliments you have posted. True i have had a rough rookie season in the scra. As far as my PR goes it was not mean to bash any driver i was just simply trying to state what happened. As far as being helped around in turn two it sure felt like i had a push from behind and my dad talked with davey and peter after the race they both confirm that the 91 car had a hand in it. but its racing not winning shit happens right. ill do better at keeping the PR less derogatory and less confusing as to what happened. It was dissapointing ending the main so early after the night i had goin but we will be back in hanford on the 7th ready to go

I can assure you Marcum (91) did not spin you. He started in the 3rd row and ran over Pete after he checked up trying to avoid you. He may have got a piece of you after you spun out, but was nowhere near you when you started to spin.

I just got off the phone with Peter and Dwayne. Peter told me that the 91 (Dwayne) was under him trying to make a pass. That puts the 21 (Peter) in between the 7 & 91. So if the 91 was to hit the 7 he would have to go through the 21.
Myles just like you stated it has been a rough season. You have alot of talent and potential.
Has far as Matt blasting the SCRA PR write -up what the F#$%. SCRA as the largest car count of the season and Dan Fletcher does weekly reports. You then are pissed off because he does not mention who all is going to be there and doesn't exactly get the car length win correct. You have done nothing this season but bitch and moan and tell everyone how unfair SCRAis. It its to bad you don't know as much as you think you do. If you don't like it go back to Micro racing. This is not minor league anymore.

Go back to Micro racing sorry but first you have to be there. I have never worked on a MICRO nor will i. I have been around sprint-cars since i was born. And worked on tons of teams and been on the road. I mean before you try to come at me make sure you know what you are talking about. And as far as me blasting the SCRA PR. Well lets see i have only seen Myles name mentioned maybe three times during the season, But (nothin against anyone) Pombo, Murphy, Hamlen, Kiwi, and others are metioned week in and week out. That does not mean start writing about Myles now. Why should they, they haven't been thus far. As far as me not knowing as much as i think i know, please why dont you ask Kevin Pylant or Brent Keading. They will tell you what i know. I have been around and i am not going anywhere!!

It really doesn't matter at this point who or what started the accident. It happened and it is over. The blame game and subsequent verbage about others should never happen on any forum but instead face to face. What everyone should be upset about is the condition of the track. The track was in terrible condition at the start and the work done on it during the racing didn't help much. Turns 1 and 2 were awful and probably played more of a role in causing the accidents that happened during the main than anything. What everyone should be lobbying for is a consistent track surface everytime they go out on the race track.

Thats all fine and dandy, and i do agree with some of what you are saying. However, your PR guy should actually have the facts before pressing the Post Reply button. Good luck to you guys on the 7th.
