The only real problem here is that Lance published the Official USAC flyer telling us to order our $15.00 tickets
for the long awaited Return to VV by the big boys with a track prepared by John Aden and Scott D. calling
the play by play.
Why agree to race VV in the first place, publicize it, then change your minds?

Ron, I agree with you 100%. I don't feel that VV on the 30th will have much if any Impact on the fan count at the Pas. As stated the race being in the middle of the work week will dictate the attendance not the fact that another race was held five days before.

Unfortunately in this economic climate it is a risk that we can't take....we all agree that it might be alright....but....if not the damage could be catostrrophic!.....we hope everyone understands and supports the ROUTE 66 MOTORPLEX at our opener. This is truly a long term decision and has hundreds of hours of discussion behind it and is a team decision between USAC,PAS,and Route 66 Motorplex. Please stay tuned! Thanks Scotty

I take responsibilty for this scheduling confusion and the stress that it has caused Scott. I am doing everything I can to find Victorville a 2012 date that will not affect him in car count or fan count.

Will have a date to announce by the beginning of next week.

Chris we all made the decision and no one person should take the full full burden of the mistake!

When I first heard of the new Route 66 Motorplex I was excited that we were getting another quality local track. And then the news that the first race was postponed had me feeling the same, Dirtface. But actually it may be a blessing. It seemed like the event came about rather quickly after the first post of "I heard a rumor". The extra time will allow the word to spread. We need this track to be success. To do that the stands must be full and the car count up. I think we can wait. Let's support Scotty's efforts.

I encourage anyone that has questions about this event to email Scott. I talked with him today about it and he is 100 percent committed to make this a success! He has run into some snags not of his making but is trying very hard to Work with all involved to get it done! Left turn Clyde is correct, let's support Scott any way we can, get fans in the seats and cars signed into the Pits and help bring sprint and midget raceing back to the great success We all think it should receive.

Well you can always come over for the Summer Sizzle http://www.canyonspeedwaypark.com/events/98/2nd-annual-summer-sizzle/ at Canyon Randy, and then I'll go back with you and hang out at your pool (you do have it ready now, right?) till the 4th and the Firecraker 30& Sky concert.

Noticed the website still has the event scheduled for June 30th. Hope there's no disappointed fans Saturday night.

Things have been a bit quiet about this deal. However, Scott might have been a bit busy promoting a dirt bike show down in Pala yesterday. I hope it was a good one for the riders, fans and promoter alike.

In order to bring in the proper amount of clay in for our opener we have made the decision to not run a practice on June 30th. We are very close to a new unique date with USAC that should get people talking! I apologize for staying quiet for a bit but we have been thru hell and back on this deal and until we have solid info there was little positive to say. We seem to be moving forward now and should have a steady flow of good news coming. As always my door is open so don't hesitate to e-mail me at [email protected]. Thank You all for your support and well wishes!! Scotty
