On Tuesday, we had Jason Johnson on "Winged Nation" and I LOVE his nickname "The Ragin Cajun".....hope you listened to the show, if you missed it here is a link:
http://www.motorracingnetwork.com/Media-Center/Audio/Winged-Nation.aspx
And, that got us thinking about great sprint car nicknames and some of the stories behind them. Here is a list that was tweeted to us:
“Ragin Cajun” – Jason Johnson
“Wild Child” – Jac Haundenschild
“Fast” Freddie Rahmer
“The Apollo Rocket” – Ed Lynch
“The Hammer” – Doug Esh“
Thr Jet” – Jeff Shepherd
“The Man from Mifflintown” – Keith Kauffman
Cliff “Grandstand” Doil – named after flipping his car into the stands
“Slammin’” Sammy Swindell
Danny “Catfish” Lasoski
So, what are your favorites that we've missed here?

No offense at all towards Mr. Griffin or Mr. Williams, but I'm not sure I'd wanna be "Ripper" or "Gasman"!

Just thought of 3 more. Saw someone named Jerry "Scratch" Daniels but he had a brother with the this nickname, Don "Itch" Daniels. Also Jack "DO IT" Hewitt & Earl "The Flying Plumber" Wagner.
