Signed up less than a month ago under a new name to hide their identity and of their 49 posts, 19 of them are about Danica Patrick.....HMMM!!!
You stated "When I am wrong I tend to be very quiet" and also "unlike Danica I'm not in it for the publicity" and yet, when shown repeatedly that your outlook is faulty, you keep on keepin' on.

The reason I have only 49 posts is because about 4 to 5 other of my board ID's have been suspended by the moderator. This is nowhere near my first debate on this forum.

Concerning Danica,I think she has an ability that just hasn't totally manifest itself yet due to the idea put into her head that these guys are shooting at her because she is getting some great $$$,I think she actually has better control of a car and smarter than both Joey Logano and J.P.Montoya,who did Joey Logano NOT hit in the Daytona 500 in all the races,he and J.P. have run they both get into the dumbest damn wrecks and whether is their fault or not they put the car where it is on the track,I think both of them have a lot to learn as to where the other guy is and Truex and and Jeff Burton have had their share of dumb bell moves too and not only wrecked their cars but alot of other people too.Honestly the 20 and 42 need to produce and soon or get rid of them ,but no they actually got contracts,so even the those people are not so smart either.

Danica does not go to TV announcers and say interview me. You should be glad that GO DADDY puts money in race advertisments , they help bring racing to you. I do not know what people want. Ken Schrader went from 1988 to his retirement in about 2008 with out a win. Ken was a very popular driver. Danica has brought interest to NASCAR by people who are new to NASCAR. If you are going to advertise like GO Daddy does, why not be with a team that draws alot of attention? TV asks who is getting alot of attention, if it is Danica they want to talk to her, if it is another driver they whant to talk to them. No big deal.

She can run with those guys, but needs a season or two under her bra to be a regular top 10 driver in that high level of racing. She's got the best chassis in racing, and the engine to go along with it.

The interesting thing about Danica Patrick is that she is:.......... 1- a mediocre driver, who has flashes of brilliance and an overabundance of temper...........
2- She is attractive to a degree..........3- fans flock to her.......... 4- she has been called the most powerful woman in motorsports. (even though there are other women that are influencial on a larger scale, but whatever. HOWEVER, at the end of the day her PR team, who makes us look at her and hear about her at every opportunity happens to be doing their job rather well. She has now been on the Hoseheads board for days and there are many posts about her. Whether they are good or bad, people still talk about her. And when she is done racing she will laugh all of the way to the bank, if she isn't doing that now.

My thoughts on Danica Patrick as a husband for over 40 years, a father of three daughters, grandfather of four and Dave Blaney fan. I always encouraged the ladies in my life to reach out for any goal so to berate Danica would make that advice hypocritical.
I don't know if anyone has noticed but the requirements to drive a race car have changed since I saw my first race. They have power steering now so it's no longer necessary to be a cigar chomping, beer drinking ex WWII Marine with large biceps and a crew cut. Good eyesight, exceptional hand eye coordination and fitness and starting in Karts at five will suffice. Danica has all that.
Danica is marketing a fleeting commodity in her youthful looks (don't tell our wives and girlfriends). That marketing gig will only last about as long as the career of an NFL running back and she's under pressure to prove herself as a legitimate driver during this window of opportunity. Money = speed and she's doing a great job at marketing herself thereby benefiting her racing team and bringing attention to the sport.
Here's a bit of blasphemy for hard core Sprint Car fans. If Tony is able to talk Danica into racing in the Prelude I predict that it will draw the biggest crowd in the history of the Eldora Speedway. Hell, even my non-race-fan wife might agree to attend that one. If I can pry my bride out from in front of the TV on a Saturday night to a dirt track I don't see that as a bad thing. Thanks Danica!
Dave Blaney will benefit from the top 35 points sale in added support for the racing team. That can't be a bad thing, thanks again Danica!
And in closing I'd just like to add that I love racing but can see by some of these posts that there are a lot of people out there that take this shit way too seriously. In the final analysis when all is said and done it's just entertainment, something we do to get away from the grind. Keeping that in mind helps me to avoid getting worked up by the small change. Tire brands, where chassis are welded up, driver lawsuits, female drivers, whatever. If I let this stuff bother me I'd fold my arms together, stomp my feet, put a scowl on my face and join the bitching about lady drivers, wings, roll cages, and every subject under the sun that I couldn't see through my blinders. Things change over time and as somebody who has been around for six decades I always remind myself that there's a fine line between historian and dinosaur.

Hooters?? Hell she ain't well endowed in that department. I personally think she's got the figure of a twelve year old boy, not exactly my cup of tea but to each their own I suppose. As for her racing "career" its just marketing and selling sex that's all. Nobody with any racing savvy takes her as a serious victory contender. All in all I could'nt give a shit cause after watching that snooze fest on Monday I was reminded why I gave up on napcrap long ago. It's like the world wrestling federation at 200mph. I never thought I would say 200mph racing is boring but yep that's the reality of it so napcrap uses ploys like Danica and dorks like the Waltrips to entertain their mouth breathing fans. I'd rather watch factory stock Ford pintos bang sheet metal on a dirt oval than watch the hours and hours of blatant product placement and mobile billboards they pass off as "racing". All in my opinion of course...
