I'm Not a fan of Danica... I think she's an insult to the rest of the drivers and teams.
But really dude?
Didn't take long in Nationwide race either... But u don't have to wish for it.

I had a very high opinion of Tony Stewart and always thought of him as a BAD ASS who could drive any race car to success.
When Tony jumps back in a non wing sprinter on a true 1/2 mile again (not Eldora), I'll call him a BAD ASS. Until then he'll always be lacking in my opinion, and it will never happen, never!

The man has won in...Nascar (multi - Championships) ,Nationwide (6 times at daytona alone) WoO , Allstars ,Indy car, midgets, Late models ect... ect...Dude, he is Bad Ass There is NOBODY on the planet that meets your high standards!!!! The only thing he is lacking is you to carry his testicle bag to the track.
Back to the original post, Danica has driven stock cars for what? ..(this is the start to her 2nd season) and she puts it on the pole in the nationwide race. Good Looks and Money didn't qualify the car she did! Will she be the next Dale Sr. or Richard Petty, prolly not but she will be a contender just like 3/4 of the field.

kenny's whole world revolves around non-winged sprinters. nothing wrong with that. he forgets though that tony mastered those and moved on years ago.
smoke has won championships in midgets, non-winged sprints, silver crown, indy cars and cup cars.
that is about as bad ass as you can get in racing.
it is too bad that he will more than likely never have another opportunity to win the indy 500.
to indy and beyond!!

when she phucks up, she will deserve the same ragging as anyone else. so far, she hasn't.
i think kurt busch might have taken the prize today for triggering the biggest mess of the race on the last lap. but that is plate racin

None of them bitched about it as much has she did though. A scene that I expect to be repeated add nauseam. Who was the IRl driver that referred to her as an "annoying little dog" or something along those lines? Who else would MF their teammate like she was so quick to do? One of the funniest quotes of hers that I saw today is that she thought she had it saved until she got hit by another car. She never was close to having it saved and nobody touched her after she had completely lost the handle. I'm pretty sure the only car that hit her was her teammate which I guess does get credit for getting her started but I think a better driver would have known what to do and gotten through the corner just fine.

chris, i realize you don't like her. you are welcome to that opinion. i think she is over-hyped as well.
i still am willing to grade her on track performance based on just that. so far she hasn't done anything wrong. like i said, when she screws up she deserves just the same as what anyone else would get.
who cares if she got upset? how many other drivers have gotten out and thrown their steering wheels and their helmets and also their fists when they have been taken out. she was pissed, and it probably didn't matter to her if it was her team mate or not, she was going to be pissed no matter what that she got taken out again while doing nothing wrong.
as far as the saving the car remark, i thought i heard her say she was ok with the first bump that got her a little out of shape from cole and saved that one, but she lost it when he gave her the second bump.
both cole and danica are trying to figure out those cars and how to race them.
heck, even the best drivers are still trying to figure them out.
the thing about danica goes like this, her PR people love it when people talk about her. it makes money hand over fist.
you should hit them up for a few bucks for all the help you have given them. lol.

OP needs to hurry. Danica on C-Span right now speaking about racing in front of the National Press Club from a Tuesday speech/Q&A session. I just fail to see how it is bad thing to see a NASCAR driver on C-Span. There is no other driver out there that would get NASCAR or racing in general in front of an audience like that.

In my humble opinion she is trying hard and likely will do better in NASCAR than she did in IRL/Champ Car or whatever they're calling it this year. Sure she's wrecked a few and will likely tear up a few more along the way ... though this year they mostly weren't her fault. But alls I know is she appears to be dedicated and very passionate about her racing profession -- and has been that way despite her detractors.
Hopefully she will do a bit better tomorrow in the 500's big dance. Give the gal a break and don't hate her just cause she's a media sponge -- she started out in karts years ago - tried the high profile open-wheel stuff and now is in the spotlight even though it may be because of her looks and sex.... anyone who is blind to the whole 'sex sells' deal is outta tune with today's corporate marketing ploys. And big-time racing knows a marketing goldmine when they see it. And she's sitting on a very pretty goldmine....

go back and look at JR whole career. I would gues that 2/3 of field would like his record Danica has more balls than any of you bleacher people. Danica has alot of pressure on her , she will be fine , give her a chance. When you wipe out 3/4 field both friday and sat. , you would expect alot of pressure as to what if I did things different. I would love some of you to get in an Indycar at 230mph, with you ass 1 inch above the track

Add nauseum? I'm thinking reading all this crap you are spewing can be added to that. Sprint Car, Midget racing, as a whole, would LOVE to have someone like Danica to hype their sport. There is no doubt in my mind. Maybe then, Sprint cars would be shown on LIVE TV once in awhile, and not 3,4 months after the fact.

Not ragging on her... But yes there are a few on this board who would live to see the funding to drive an IRL car 230 1 inch off the ground... And I guaranteed u with the funds she hadId sure expect to win more then one rain shortened event in the amount if starts she had... If I couldn't I'd fund a new passion.
My only problem is she wants to talk about being the best ever. Really danica, u couldn't win a hobby stock race @ husets tomorrow with a late model.what have u done danica? What have u won to deserving to be on the track with the "best 43 in the world" other the take half Ur clothes off on tv... At least let us see it since we have to put up with u.

Not a fan of Danica's,but respect what she is trying to do ..i was thinking, shouldn't all the hate be put towards the media for hyping her to this level...she just like any other person is going to take all the opportunities given to her,whether she deserves them or not....there is not one race car driver (guy or girl) that would turn down the opportunties she has be given, cause don't all race car drives think they can do the job. There are tons of men who have made it to this level of racing,and didn't deserve to be there and failed...we just don't hear about them because they don't have the media hype she has....the media is where the the hate should be put....IMO
