February 8, 2012 - “It’s official! California’s sprint car racing sensation, 18 year old “Flyin” Ryan Bernal, will join Danny “Showtime” Sheridan in the Kittle Motorsports Organization for 2012!”
Here we are about to kickoff the 2012 racing season and we have a very exciting new announcement to start things off. During the holidays, Danny Sheridan made the decision to run a limited schedule in 2012 and stay closer to home. With his son Blake now 5 years old, Danny doesn’t want to miss those fun years by being off racing like many drivers before him. Danny himself recommended Ryan Bernal to fill the seat when he is not available, thus sharing the ride!
Danny’s schedule is not set but he will race somewhere around 12 to 15 races during the season. It will consist of a combination of USAC/CRA 410 and USAC West Coast 360 races at tracks such as Santa Maria, Hanford, Tulare, Watsonville, and Calistoga.
Ryan’s schedule will include a total of 12 – 410 races all at Perris and Canyon Raceway near Phoenix, AZ. His 1st race in the Kittle Motorsports #18 will be March 31st at Perris. In addition, Ryan will run the remaining CRA 410 races in the Josh Ford Motorsports entry which will allow him to contend for the 2012 Driver’s Championship in the USAC/CRA 410 series.
For those that don’t know Ryan Bernal, here is a little background. Ryan is 18 years old from Hollister, CA. and is a senior at San Benito High School. His racing resume includes 35 sprint car wins in 4 years. He is a 2 time Ocean Speedway Champion and the 2011 Santa Maria Champion. He was rookie of the year at Ocean and Antioch Speedway, as well as the 2011 West Coast 360 rookie of the year while finishing 2nd in points.
The Kittle Motorsports organization would like to thank all of their returning sponsors for 2012: Pace Lighting, PJ1 Lubricants, K&N Filters, PIPE (Piping Industry Progress & Education), Sherman Race Cars, King Racing Products, Steve Watt Enterprises / Maxwell Racing Suspension, Auto-Pro Racing Engines, United Association 114, Doug’s Auto Body, Crow Safety Gear and Autolite.
And the organization would also like to welcome their new sponsors joining them for the 2012 season: GoPro, www.soltisbros.com, Keizer Racing Wheels, Butler Built, FK Rod Ends, Wilwood Engineering and Gaunt Construction.
This all makes the 2012 season very positive for the Blue Crew as without these sponsors, no wheels would be turning for this team. Keep an eye on the # 18 at a track near you!
