I just had a couple of what I thought were interesting ideas.
1. As a lifelong non-wing fan my opinion of winged sprint car racing was changed after the first time I went to the Trophy Cup in Tulare. I have been to the race 3 times and each one was one of the most exciting races that I saw each year. Why couldn't The Pas hold a "Trophy Cup South"? Maybe have the race the weekend prior to Tulare?
2. I know sprint car racing is becoming EXTREMELY expsensive and car counts are down throughout California but I think that a California Sprint Week would be a great idea. Perhaps 360s running for a week with races at The Pas, Victorville, Ventura, Santa Maria, Tulare and Hanford. Indiana Sprint Week is huge in the midwest why couldn't California Sprint week be equally popular?
Just a couple of random thoughts from a sprint car fan who can hardly wait for next season. Please add your comments to the post.

I would like to see a SCSCRA (Southern California Sprint Car Racing Association) set up. Two divisions, two championships. Platinum (410's) and Gold(360's). They would all race together with maybe a few isolated events that features either the Platinum's or the Gold's. Perris would get one date a month. Of course the Ovals would retain the current format. Victorville would get three dates. Ventura would get a date in October. Santa Maria, Hanford and Tulare would get on date each, multiple dates if they think they can make money.
Oh yeah, none of the money that is collected goes back to Indiana.
Long winter off season. Lots of time and things to consider, Harry

I would like to see all of the above . but i believe Chris Kearns has already said that he will not over lap the 360s and 410s seeing as how a quite a few that race the 360 series also have 410s so i think the car counts will be up and also we will have more events to go to. i also liked having the 410 non wing show at the gold cup this year and i hope they do the same for the trophy cup this coming year . but nomatter what. we need to bring more friends and family to the shows so we keep sprint car racing strong in california . more ppl better purses better car counts . and if we ever get a cali sprint week i will be there . and if you need a ride to the track jump in because my truck is going that way .
We need more sprint car racing at our home track.

what we need is some ascs 360 non wing action for so-cal. these people have it together , they care about the sport , the drivers and the owners. yeah i know there was 1 botched up show ,, who cares..i would love to see some cooperation from the promoters and run some local series , that would be great .how about some az v ca series... but no one wants to work together .around here, each track only cares about its dates . some caring about the sport as a whole and some promoter interaction with each other would go a long way ..

In my case it was the King Of The West boys that opened my eyes to the speed and excitement of a wing show. The Kaedings, Allard, Murhy but espacially Tim Kaeding, TK. Now those were outstanding shows, but the Trophy Cup is the best show period. Much agony down here over low car counts but up north there are lots of tracks and a zillion wingers. Sometimes I think about living up north where one could go to Watsonville or Chico on friday nite and and 6 or 5 other tracks on Sat. nite. Mostly wing shows, but there are 2 or 4 nonwing series for variety. I see big things ahead for the Trophy Cup. Knoxville west has a nice ring to it.

I have seen 410's and 360's wings shows at Ocean, Hanford, Santa Maria and Tulare and find the excitement level pretty much the same. You would need a stopwatch to tell the difference.

Have to agree with davemahar, living in centeral cal, i see alot of 360/410 wing raceing. Watsonville has the Taco Bravo 360 series pretty exciting series, King of the West did an outstanding job keeping the 410's alive.
