Why?

The Smileys part is still open but they closed the engine shop. Jeff Hill is getting into the recycling and guess the engine shop wasn't making any money

Probably went broke fixing their motors that wont stay together. I had 3 engine failures on Jeff's motors in a year's time. Average lifespan of a Jeff's motor..... 6 nights.

I had better luck with the motors out of Steelman's shop.

Bucky, you do not seem to be pleased with much in your life. The #71 Champ Sprint car damn near won the Championship at SFS with one of Jeff"s motors. If not for a couple of Racing deals, they could have pulled it off.

This is not the first time you and I have had discussions on this forum. I am beginning to think you are a sour apple. There just seems to be no pleasing you. I recall at the Pole Position car show a couple of years ago when you drove your piece through the parking lot with the nerf bar gouging into the pavement and you SCREAMING at your kid, saying it was his fault. I am sorry, but it is your car and your trailer.

Oh yea, and the spare tire flew off the tire rack on the trailer and dented up the new body you had someone make for you.

Do you think maybe you should check these things before you Travel or Race. Most likely the engine failures you experienced were due to the lack of weekly maintance on your part.

Oh, by the way, I have a fishing boat For Sale, if you are intrested give me a call.

Best Wishes, Allen Crawford

It's sad how good people give up doing good things because some people think the world owes them something. I have never had a Jeff's engine but I know people who have, and I've seen MANY cars win races with his engines. I don't know 65c either but if he lost 3 motors in one season, I would have to think the tuner is not doing something right.

I didn't realize WE were having a discussion.

And alot of your 'facts" are wrong.

I have never taken any of my kids to Pole Position car shows, nor have I dragged a nerf bar in the parking lot.

The tires on the roof of the car were due to the person pulling the trailer ran up on curbs while making several turns.

I check the oil and changer the filter every week on my motors.

And lastly, there is alot in my life I'm pleased about. The biggest thing I'm pleased about is the fact that I couldn't give a shit less about you or your opinion.

YOU can eat shit and rot in hell.

By the way, why is your boat for sale, too stupid to fish? Probably the same reason you're not racing anymore.

Am I supposed to be "Pleased" about supposedly good motors failing every six weeks? Jackass!

It's not HOW fast you go, but how you GO fast.

guy walks into a machine shop, says I need a motor, I wanna go fast. Hey, can you use these pistons I brought? Machinist tells the man what all he should do and how much it is gonna cost. Guy says man I need to save litte, lets skip the balancing and whatnot. Machinist says okay but how many RPM's are you gonna turn? Guys says oh only about 6800. Guy gets his motor with his parts and some money saved. Puts motor in car, doesn't prime it, doesn't run proper break-in, sets timing at 38, re-adjusts valves to his liking, runs a hotter plug than is recommended, so-on and so-on. Oh yeah, gets out to the track and turns 7800. Motor runs like a champ! 3-4 weeks later, this motor is junk and so is the builder! Anyone heard stories like this?

CCC, Just wanted to add to the compilation of this thread so that the Chili Pepper will come about and CCC the great writer he has become will once again inspire us with his long essays and rants of low car counts , high gas prices , politics , racing, women, racing , politics and low car counts , CCC should make a trip to BMS tonight and enjoy a night at the red clay oval and bring "greasy fries" or "the chauffuer" whichever one is to his likin at this time and he can to contribute to the solving of the area's racing problems we are currently experiencing. Also no more Speedo's after Labor Day,The nights get a bit nippy from now till next Spring.

I for one am suprised the 65c blew any motor at all, ever. Something must be wrong with the "tuner" because those were some of the slowest cars i"ve ever seen. I'm sorry but that sprint car was one of the ugliest ever.

I'll go rot in hell now. Oh, and eat poop. LMAO

Kelly, Hell ya can start by all these DNF's me and Jr. have had lately and that ugly Monkey on our back, but I think that bottle of Anti Monkey Butt I have been applying this week has sent him on down the road but have to wait until Sat. to know for sure. Patched the ol Power Plant up and did not go to him for it and sounds like that is a good thing.

Like Cheese says there is plenty of ammo Kelly and SFSfan the ol Buckster does have a way with words.

lmfao!!

not sure where to start with that one man!

I had to take a mini break from suffering in that part of the state and come up here to the 918 and enjoy the glory that is Port City. I swear I see more good racing in 1 night at Port than everywhere else the rest of the year (save cowtown).

As for the ladies - they provide complications to endeavors such as these - they get confused when I speak of "doing the deed" - because I'm not talking bout them - I'm talking about racing duties lol.

And due to the solitude of this little venture - I was able to be back here to the 9th floor of the Tulsa Raddison within about 15 minutes of the end of the Outlaw feature - was going to try to get the results and points updated in record time - but ultimately the 9th floor of the Raddison did not provide adequate signal strength (or something - long confusing story) so results and points still had to wait for THE MAN to get back to his Sapulpa home. A bitter defeat indeed - was hopin to surprise that dude and it all be on there by the time he got home.

Anyways - when in comes to getting THIS deed done - its better done solo. less baggage. more mobile. lol. And ultimately - its great when duties can be combined - but there are those times when the duties are best done seperate lol. As for the ranting lol - thats why I am happy as hell to be here in Tulsa JD. At any track we could have lengthy discussion about a variety of issues.......but frankly there are damn near none of those issues at Port City. Love this place. My favorite track for sure.

In the end, I left the depression that is 405 racing........in the 405! lol. Good luck to ya'll at Lawton tomorrow night. I better begin this writeup - I done made my 8 minute fast food trip. like I said - MOBILE lol.

Hey man - on a side note - covering a race at Port City Raceway is night and day than anywhere else. It's all like 10 second laps here and everyone is damn near side by side the whole time - was talking to some great local folks tonight about the challenge of covering racing here. At all the 1/4 or 3/8 tracks - lookin at 15-17 second laps - give or take - up here it really is like 10-11 - by the time you write what happens on lap 10 - you really are on lap 12 or 13. Challenge? hell yeah - I love this place though! best racin' I've seen since.....well.......the last time I was here in June! lol can't wait for tomorrow.
