Anyone wanting to move back up to World of Outlaw type traveling would have switched from the 27 to the 17. I would not bad mouth any driver for "ride swaping" like that. I have never seen the 27 race in ohio, but the 17 comes quite frequently. This is the right decision for t-dub to make to get more exposure and travel more. Good luck to him.

My thoughts exactly. You wouldn't have saw the 27 tow all the way to Las Vegas like the 17 did earlier this year for the Outlaws show.

well to be honest matt anderson is a decent wrench, i dunno if thats what you are referencing to being the wrong person out, but i think and would hope jesse would allow lee lundgren sp?? to help wrench on the car, cause he flew in this weekend and the car was fast all weekend! i dunno maybe matt and tyler can gel, cause the car has great equipment and a great driver! i watched daryn every friday he ran at the grove the past 2 years, some nights the car was fast, some nights is was par, and some nights it was in the back or broke. so it was 50/50 in my eyes.

Decent wrench? What has he done in years? And the past 2 years and 2 drives leave????????? Think the pervous statement was correct. Wrong change made. Maybe after another driver may leave then the real change may be made. Good Luck Daryn everyone at williams grove and port royal will miss you. Hope you return soon to stir up the dirt!!!!

won the mitch smith memorial , 2outta 3 races at the triple 20s but other than that, the car has been par. maybe it is time to change wrenches and let lee work on the car. i hope the 17 gets things going! it has the potential!!

Maybe the dealbreaker was Mr Keen bringing Lee along with Tyler as a package deal?? I agree with the posts above from the guys that "get it". Walker is a racer, he wants to race as many races as he can, as competitive as he can. Cant wait to see him run around the Ohio area and other Outlaw shows again.

In this day & age in the handicap shows, unless you are a superior driver with the knowledge & expertiise of racing from the back you are just going to be a top 10 car. The Keen car & Pitmann were only good in TT races because that is how he has learned to race over his career. JMO

So you'd think he'd be able to at least win a draw race from the pole wouldn't you? Unless the car just isn't really that good.

The car is above average in equipment. If it is close on set up then maybe he (Pittman) can't carry the car. Were did he win most of his WOO races from? I would be willing to bet within the first 2 rows.

In Posse land it is even hard for the best to win from farther back than 8th as it is right now.

Matt Anderson is a worthy mechanic & take nothing from his abilities, however he is just avg. at best. The driver needs to be a piece of the puzzle too!

In recent years I would bet 99% of WoO A-Mains were won from the first two rows. Frown

I actually think the #17 and #27 and more comparable then people think. I think because of all the resources people think the #17 should be a top 5 car, but the 27 is a top flight ride that simply doesn't leave the porch like the Keen team does(or spend the $ to do so). At Lincoln, WGrove, or Port, I wouldn't say one ride is better than the other really. Both teams have found success, both have struggled at times..

I have a strong feeling the lelands.com car will suprise some people and you will be seeing some big names possibly vying for the seat. names you wouldn't expect. It will be fun too see!!!!!

One of the interesting facts about both the 17 & 27 is that both teams started last year using a JEI chassis and then switched to Maxims during the season, both for different reasons. T Dub had much success in the 24 over the past few years driving a JEI. I wonder if the 17 team will now go back to a JEI?

Dewease and Hodnett didn't have much success with Anderson turning the wrenches on the 77.

The 17 had a non tested JEI Chassis that THEY wanted built. THEY were told that the car was untested and nobody knew how it would work. After several weeks they were told the front end was wrong and needed replaced. NOT the companies fault, they built what they were asked to build. If Lee comes on board, Jesse should allow Tyler and Lee to call the shots and allow them to use what they're comfortable with.

As for the 27 team, I think Mike Heffner was concerned after Sean Michaels' wreck and the frame disintegrated. In all honesty, any frame would have done what that one did had they been in the same wreck. They were decent with the car before the wreck......oh yeah, with Matt wrenching on the car.

I do believe Matt won The HBO with Chessons. Pretty big win if you ask me.

The #17 with a DNQ after starting 2nd in the B Main. When will they learn it's NOT the driver?

I'm a Walker fan.....he may race & travel more, but to run the B Main?

Agreed. All the posters on here that wrote what a great move it was to go from the Heffner No. 27 to the Keen No. 17 because the No. 17 will travel more are fans from outside the area that gave an opinion without seeing those teams race regularly.

Walker is a gasser but has only showed that he can win with a mechanic that knows how to control Tyler. The guy is a head case. Not saying he isn't a great racer but it takes a certain personality to work with him from what I have seen over the years. Maybe tonight Keen's will fly Rick Warner or that Lee from California out to work on it sin e That really the only guys he has really won with

Tyler needs a mechanic that he has faith in and a race track fit to race on. If you have to tip toe around on ice and egg shells, Tyler Walker aint gonna do you much good.

Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?
