Thinking about buting a xbox or ps3 just so I can play this game, but need some advice please!I live in a rural area and have wireless internet.I'm not able to play most pc games online because usally my ping is to high and unstable.Do you think this would be true with xbox live or the ps3.I was told that I should have better luck with the xbox play because there are liable to be more servers closer to my area. What do you guys think?I'm not sure how it even works wit xbox live.Do you connect to a host server like the pc games or is it diffrent? Is the ps3 online gaming the same?Just wandering wich system would be the best since I only play racing games.Does this new game allow you to have the in-car veiw while playing? Thanks for your help!!

I think its awesome that we have a sprint gar game for xbox and I don't regret spending the twenty bucks, but why is it wrong to have high expectations for a game on this platform. I was basing it off the ps2 version which actually did get it right the first time so I figured if they can do such a good job than surely with the technology 8 years later it would be better, but they went backwards, the game is not even close to as realistic as the ps2 version. Obviously we will never get a game that is perfect, but a little better than the cars sounding like indy cars at a high rpm.

My friends and I have never been able to be very successful using wireless internet for xbox with the adapter you have to buy separate, we have much better consistent connection with a hard wire connection straight from the back of the routher or cable modem.
Is there any way to change the car setup for on-line play? They sure are hard to drive, but at least everyone has the same thing to work with so it is fair

Depends?? Do you have a Blu Ray player?? If not I would get a PS3. PS3 you do not have to PAY to play online, as XBOX does

if u want a 360 game-stop has them pre-owned for $139.99. as for the xbox reliability i own 2 of them and never had any trouble with them at all just make sure it out in the open to get air. my friend had his in the entertainment center with glass doors and he got the red rings twice. he moved it on top and he hasn't had any trouble with is since.

sprntcar7... I thought the same thing about the engine sound at first... and then remembered that I always had the same complaint about the engine sound delivered through in-car cameras during SPEED broadcasts. I spoke to a fried of mine who is a driver and he said that the cars sound soo much different from the cockpit when you're immersed and the sound is very tight (i.e. high rpm'ish) as opposed to from the grandstands where we get the sound loose (throatier). With as much as stuff as they obviously consulted with WoO... I would be surpised if they didn't simply pull the audio track from some of their ICC's

I wonder what sprintcar drives will try the game . I know a few drivers who still play the other sprintcar game .

I'm ten races into the career and I haven't found the difficulty level up to par. I should not be 1 full second quicker in TT's with the default setup. Racing at Eldora the line moves to the bottom as the night wears on which makes little sense. The graphics are good the physics are so-so the tracks never seem to build a defined cushion which is disappointing. The $20 price point makes some flaws overlookable. I hope the competition level picks up as the career wears. Happy gaming
More weight, more regulation, more similarity in the
cars.... that will ensure plenty of thrills for years
to come. Only the most average talent behind the
wheel will be needed with such awesome equipment on
the track!

Does anyone know if the online matches have the same set up you used during career mode or does everyone have the same set up?
I notice cars have the unlockable paint upgrades during online gaming so I assume they also have the car upgrades as well?

I think the set ups do carry over in online mode, or at least it seams like it. The sound of the car your driving is alright, it's the 2-stroke sound of the other cars in traffic that annoys me. I'm about 18 races into career mode, and it hasn't gotten more difficult... still lapping the field in almost every race. Hopefully it will change. The online mode is great when you get 8 people actually trying to race! Set-ups are OK for the most part; wing adjustment is weird; torsion bars are kind of backwards, depending on the situation; stagger is screwed up, but they almost got it right.
Worst thing is the difficulty level (or lack there of) in Career mode.
All in all I'll give it 4 out of 5, just because I'm happy to see a new sprint car game. Definitely a buyer for sprint car enthusiasts.
P.S. - I've owned PS3 and 360, and had failures with both systems. 360 is better.

Overall I think they did a great job on the game. The only things I wish that were different is that when you have split screen that you and your other player get to race the full field of 24 instead of just the 2, and that you can pick your driver.
Career Mode I really like, but the difficulty needs to be stepped up in my mind. Also I wish that you could go more in depth on your car like pick the Chassis brand and get to paint like the Chassis, Wings, Bodywork, because I guess i just like a plain car all black. Also that you could put your spsonors on the car where you want them, I think that would be pretty sick, but overall the game is great. Just glad to have a sprint car game

I don't really have complaints besides a few small ones that have been previously mentioned. WOuld love to see a cushion you can bang around on! I don't feel the setups do much for ya? I tested running the same track a couple times in a row with multiple different exaggerated setups and the car don't seem to change enough? But i was drinking too, lol!?
