John Katish who cares what you think. If you notice they did not say what the fine amounts are. I would bet that McCarl was fined $1 and Joey $1000. One said goddamn on the radio, do you guys listen to the radio? I can't believe what they say sometimes. But the Saldana crew got physical and that is what this is really about, Dirt could not fine Saldana and not McCarl, so they fine them both to make the public happy, but don't say how much. I agree with nodust, this is what WoO's needed, I bet the promoters love it. Some promoters even give bonus for things like this, because it puts people in their seats. And that is the big picture for all of them, drivers, promoters and sponsors.

.

I was at Tulare last Sat night and heard  Tmac make a complete azz of himself in the post race interview. Tmac getting fined is justified IMO. With WoO fighting for TV and Big $$$ sponsorships, they cannot tollerate rants like that. I was less than impressed with Tmac afterwards, but then again, was never a big fan to begin with. If Joey's team got fine too, good. Will teach them a lesson too. But the think Tmac should not have got fined, you obviously werent there, so you have no basis for that 'opinion'.

Todd, the release came as part of an advance publicity release for one of the Arizona races. If you check the news on the WoO website, it's probably there . I think it went out Wednesday morning.

Thanks John! Found it in this one:

Text is exactly what Swamp posted to start this thread.

Too bad the person doing the interview didn't give Mr. McCarl some time to cool off before he interviewed him.

I have seen this many times in all kinds of sports. Given 5 or 10 minutes after the incident the person who was originally ranting and raving on their interview has calmed down.

The World of Outlaws know what they are doing. This is going to bring more and more people to the races who are there for only the pay backs or what ever you want to call it. Some people (not me) only go for the accidents and to see fights.

Dude, this interview was at least 10 minutes after the checkered flag flew. First, all top finishers had to weight in. Then they interviewed TK for the win, after his notorious turn 4 victory donuts. Then they went over to Tmac, who was standing there for several minutes. So dont make it sound like the interview occured right after the checked dropped and Tmac stopped on the front stretch. Tmac went off when most the people in the stands booed his azz for his chicken sh!t move. I especially liked his comment "You'd better get used to it, cuz theres more of that comin'. Sounds like he was askin for a fine.

While I don't agree with him yelling back at the fans, I have to admit I like a guy with some character and enthusiasm about this damn sport we love so much. I get tired of the same ol' victory lane speeches...Tim Kaeding is a total breath of fresh air after a win. It doesn't matter if he wins a go kart race in the back yard, he's pumped up about it!! More guys should be like him...and McCarl should not be faulted for the enthusiasm he showed last weekend or in the past - he just needs to take it easy on the fans. They keep his bills paid by showing up each weekend.

Wow. Now I see what all the hype is about.I love that drivers have a lot of emotion, it is part of what makes this sport exciting. To be pissed off and spout about another driver, hell, that happens all the time. But to address anger to fans, who PAY to keep this sport going, I say fine the goddamn guy! " Screw 'im !!! "
