How many alcohol drinks were consumed before straping into this piece of fine equipment. Check out the double reverse down tubes. We sure miss the big Z... Is the car that Greg has the same as this one or later version? I think I will call him and see if he will part with it. We need to get these cars back into racing condition and bring back the good old days.

I believe the Richter family out of New Ulm owned this car #66. I believe Omhar Schugal was the hired gun. As far as who is driving the water truck...your guess is as good as mine. Any ideas who it might be Ken N?

The car in the background is the car I am looking for. It has 77 on it and check out that wing on the body. Could that possibly be the frst wing in the history of modified racing? That must be Bill Sargents car before it was Buesings. I think before that is was # 45, wonder who owned it then.

Mike,
I may be older than dirt, but even I can't remember back that far... Maybe Chuck with his great memory can remember if he was behind the wheel waaaay back then.. LOL I think I would be more interested in the red car in the background of the first picture you posted...

I'm pretty sure I owned the trailer that the # 3 car is sitting on- Last time I saw it -Greg Whitrock forn Garden Center had it. It was my 1st sprint car trailer in 1989. Pat Ediger

I think Greg has a later version of this car. This picture is from the 60's. Check out the roll cage in this one. I dont think this would have passed inspection at Arlington.LOL Is there some guy from Good Thunder that collected a few of these cars? If anyone knows his name it would be appreciated.

Very unique piece of equipment here. Did this car ever make to any other tracks? Who is the driver? Where are you getting these pictures? Still no responce on the 77 and 48 car. I wish I could locate it.

Ya well...the pioneers of this sport raced with leather helmets and no cage. As far as finding the old 77 car...don't forget scrap iron was at $150.00 a ton last summer. The way these cars were built they probably got a small fortune for it. Last time I saw that car was in the shed at Sammy Swind....or no wait...Sammy McKillups in Mankato. Hey "easyup" (must be a young guy) don't be talkin smack about the old guys...they had it goin on in their day. Hey Sumpy...the 00 car was built and driven by Stan Hanson out of Kasota. Raced mainly at St Peter but that bunch of guys would do what they called back then "fair dates". They ventured out to county fairs around the southern half of the state and raced on the dusty old true half mile horse tracks. Hi Ken...ya the old car would be nice to have...looks like an Olds or Buick...mid to late 50's. Sweet ride! Any plans for the summer Ken?

well ok then Mr. Mike Sargent I won't talk any "smack" As you put it. And as far as this sumppump24 guy where in the heck did he get that name. Sitting in his basement trying to think of something to do besides holding his tool and staring at sins of the flesh on the computer. When his sump pump for his basement kick's on giving this person the brilliant idea to come out of the woodwork register to hoseheads post a thread about somthing that obviously noone cares about and to use a screen name named after a household utility pump. SO MIKE I will not talk "smack" as you hip guy's call it.

Well as far as the built in wing, this car is the first to try that. Yes 44 had the first bolt top wing. Where did you get all the knowledge? Are you an old St. Peter racer?
