Yep........... TK finished 08 with Roth & the plan as I heard it for 09 is Outlaws, All-Stars, Non- wing.... you name it. Hopefully they'll stay together & find a good wrench....... I wish he was back with Mike Cool.....

Destroys alot of equipment, been through quite a few owners....I bet you can't even tell me the other owners Tim has driven for not to mention he's had success with all of his former car owners. Every sprint car team tears stuff up it's part of racing and things happen.

TK may be hard on equipment but he runs up front and wins a lot in GSC. What do you want a passive driver that doesn't go for wins. Hope he is on the WoO tour in '09. He would have a shot at a top five in points. Anybody know his plans for Florida Speedweeks?

I always liked that shrit: "Mess with the Bull get the Horns"...lol!
2) And I was always hoping they would come out with a diecast car with TK's name on it.
3) Maybe 2009 will be the year.
Larry "O"...Tulare WoO....lol!

I hope TK picks up a non-wing USAC/CRA 410 race at:
Manzanita, Castistoga, Santa Maria, Hanford, Knoxville and Oskaloosa.
As far as the Diecast Car goes, can't wait to see the Roth Colors for 2009. Should
be pretty Fantastic. I like the Wells Fargo theme and Company Sponsorship myself.
You know a 'little bit country' and a little bit "Rock and Roll"...lol! Let's Rock!
Sincerely,

Cherrypick the WoO's? LOL He might be competetive with them, but there will be no cherries picked! MAYBE a top 5 in points if he ran the entire schedule. His checkers or wreckers style is fun to watch but most car owners won't put up with it. It would be interesting to see him with the Outlaws, he's a fan fave for sure.

the point of cherry picking is to drop in on select races and hopefully take home a large portion of the money. not to try and beat them on a regular basis at their own game. i think tk could do that as well as could guys from cali like allard, walker. as far as the checkers or wreckers deal, tk was the top main event winner when he ran the nst series, which a lot of folks touted as the more competitive of the big two that year. the thing is tim is not really a points racer. if he gets the chance to race around like i hear he wants to this year you don't need to be a points racer. you go for the win. if you tear it up trying, you go down the road for the next win. to tim's benefit the checkers come more than the wreckers these days.

To think he can "drop" in and take the majority of the money I think is a stretch. I'm sure he'd be competetive but to run in the top 5 with the Outlaws takes some doing. With as much ride swapping that goes on these days you'd think if his style of driving was what owners wanted, then he'd have been running the WoO tour. As for the NST being more competitive than the WoO, I agree totally! They didn't have to beat Schatz every night out. Like him or not Schatz would've been the man to beat with the NST.

Cherry picking can also be defined as where a racer stays around the inferior competition when they really should be moving up to a higher level of competition. So it's easy pickings and a racer can make some money especially with top notch equipment and good driving skills.
There is one such racer that comes to mind, whom I won't mention, that has done this throughout his career. And, by not moving on, has stayed at a certain level. I've seen it many times where a guy or gal moves up to tougher competition and gets faster because the competition is pushing him or her.
BTW, when a few of the NST guys ran against the WoO that year, the WoO came out on top every time.

I can only think of 5 car owners. One of those got out of racing all together and another got rid of his second car when he couldn't get sponsorship. A third has his son driving locally. Tom Rolfe and Dennis Roth are the other two. Both of those teams have had a lot of success with him be it WOO or USAC. In the last four years more times than not Tim has finished in the top 5 on any night he races. And of those top fives I would be willing to bet his win ratio is pretty high. On more than one occasion he has taken total crap to the win. Give him an equal car to Schatz and then we will see what the outcome is. Until then any comparison is only speculation.
He is still the most underated driver in the country.

hey john, don't forget, most of those owners need to be counted two or tree times! and you can throw in dennis from taco bravo as an owner to if even for a race or two.

Hopefully we'll get to see how it comes out this year. Winning on the left coast will be far different than against the Outlaws. Not knocking TK, he can wheel a sprinter for sure, but against the BEST every night he will have to prove himself. I agree he is ONE of the most underrated drivers in the nation along with a few others that could make the claim. Hopefully Roth puts him on the road with the Outlaws, I for one would look forward to seeing it. No one else with the same equipment has been able to outrun Schatz yet, TK might but I will have to see it.

it would be a shame for TK too get involved with just the WoO his spirit is too free and is ability's are too great too get stuck in that rut.remember OUTLAWS do not race for points, they just race, and besides the WoO are not the best the best race at our local tracks right here in nor cal
