According to the SCRA 360 Sprints website (www.scra360s.com):

The SCRA 360's will not be running in 2008. We would like to Thank all the Sponsors, Drivers, Crews, and Fans who supported the SCRA 360's in 2007.

Thanks again,
Richard & Bettye Harvey

Has anyone heard why this happened? I had no idea this was coming! We had a rules meeting and everything! I don't want this to be a post spreading rumors or bad-mouthing SCRA and its officials!!

It says the same thing on the website for them. If you are a member then find out and give us the straight scoop as to why.

Who would that be? Sounds like a scam or is it a swindle?

I think you have something there, but instead of USAC, I would bet that ASCS is smacking it's lips. The ironic thing about that is that Shuman now works for ASCS....... I have no facts and this is not a rumour, just a gut feeling I've had. This 360 race coming up at Perris with the strange rules considering what most are running over there smells funny to me.

If this deal about Hanford and Santa Maria taking away Bakersfield races proves to be true, then I think that drivers/ teams should boycott races at Hanford and Santa Maria!! I know drivers just want to race, but they should stand up for themselves before they are taken advantage of. I know last year that Hanford complained about having to pay the full SCRA purse, I can't imagine running for less money especially since the cost of racing certainly hasn't went down! Before I'd race at one of those tracks, I'd make sure that the liability insurance is paid up and not cancelled like it was July 1st! Let's give them the benefit of the doubt and make sure we have our facts straight before we go accusing anyone or taking action against them.

Thanks,

Matt, you hit the nail on the head ! dave swindler has said he is bringing money and cars to to bakersfield (yea right) so scra lost the dates! guys have not been paid from the cotton classic still! so frank and dave should make a hell of a team. so my dirt cars will be parked for 2008 and we will just be running usac western states. good luck to all in 08 it was fun racing with all the scra guys you all put on a great show for the fans.
